Abstract

본 발명은 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 관한 것으로,본 발명에 의하면, 사진 이미지가 저장된 외부 저장 매체가 디지털 TV에 접속되면 자동으로 상기 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부를 화면에 디스플레이하고, 상기 디스플레이된 사진 이미지 중 사용자가 선택한 이미지를 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 소정의 웹사이트로 전송하며 인화를 요청함으로써 사용자는 디지털 카메라를 디지털 TV에 연결하고 인화하기 원하는 이미지를 선택하기만 하면 별도의 번거로운 작업을 할 필요 없이 디지털 카메라에 저장된 사진 이미지를 간편하게 인화할 수 있다.

본 발명은 디지털 TV에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 네트워크에 연결되어 방송 수신 이외에 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 디지털 TV에 관한 것이다.
가전기기와 IT기기의 컨버전스 경향이 가속화되며, 가정에서 사용하는 디지털 TV 포털이라는 서비스가 등장하게 되었다. 디지털 TV 포털이란 네트워크에 접속할 수 있는 디지털 TV를 이용하여 사용자가 뉴스,영화,교육,음악,게임 등 다양한 콘텐트를 즐길 수 있는 새로운 개념의 서비스이다. 즉, 사용자는 인터넷을 통해 제공되는 다양한 서비스를 TV리모컨을 조작함으로써 거실에서 디지털 TV의 화면을 통해 제공받을 수 있게 된 것이다. 다만, 아직 활성화 이전의 단계이므로 디지털 TV 포털에서 제공하는 서비스에 대한 구체적인 사례는 많지 않은 실정이다.
도 1은 종래 기술에 따라 사진 인화 서비스를 이용하는 방법을 나타낸 순서도이다.
사용자는 디지털 사진 이미지를 인화하기 위해서 우선 사진 이미지가 저장된 디지털 카메라를 PC에 연결한다(100). PC가 디지털 카메라에 저장된 이미지들을 읽고, 그 목록을 표시하면, 사용자는 원하는 이미지를 복사하여 PC 내의 특정 디렉토리에 저장한다(110).
다음으로, 사용자는 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹페이지에 접속하는데(120), 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹페이지에서는 서비스 이용자가 인화하기 원하는 사진 이미지를 인터넷을 통해 업로드하고 이용자의 인적 정보 및 주소 정보를 등록하면, 해당 이미지를 인화하여 등록된 주소로 배송하는 서비스를 제공한다. 따라서, 사용자는 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹페이지에서 파일 업로드를 위한 플러그인 프로그램을 이용하여 인화할 이미지들을 업로드한다(130). 또한, 사진 인화 대금을 결제하기 위해 필요한 정보를 전송하여 결제를 완료한다(140).
즉, 종래의 방법에 의하면 사용자는 이미지 복사, 웹페이지 접속, 이미지 업로드, 결제 정보 전송 등의 복잡한 단계들을 직접 수행하여야 하므로, PC조작이 익숙치 않은 사용자들에게는 서비스를 이용하기 어려운 단점이 있다. 게다가, 만약 전술한 디지털 TV포탈에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 경우, 사용자는 리모컨 하나만으로 상기의 단계들을 수행하여야 하는데, 리모컨의 버튼은 키보드에 한정되어 있으므로 여러 번의 키 조작이 필요하게 된다.
본 발명은　여러 번의 키 조작이 없이도 디지털 TV를 이용하여 인터넷 상에서제공되는 사진 인화 서비스를 이용할 수 있도록 하는 방법 및 이를 위한 디지털 TV를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
이러한 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명은,　디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 있어서, (a) 사진 이미지가 저장된 외부 저장 매체가 접속되면 자동으로 상기 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부를 화면에 디스플레이하는 단계; 및 (b) 상기 디스플레이된 사진 이미지 중 사용자가 선택한 이미지를 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 소정의 웹사이트로 전송하며 인화를 요청하는 단계를 포함한다.
상기 (a)단계는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 포맷의 이미지만 디스플레이하거나 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 개수의 이미지만 디스플레이하도록 할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 (b)단계는 인화된 사진을 배송받기 위한 상기 사용자의 주소 정보 및 사진 인화에 대한 대금 결제를 위해 필요한 정보를 상기 사용자가 선택한 이미지와 함께 전송하는 것이 바람직하다.
또한, 본 발명은 상기 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 방법을 실행시키기 위한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록 매체를 제공한다.
또한, 본 발명은 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하는 장치에 있어서, 사진 이미지가 저장된 외부 저장 매체와 접속하는 접속부; 상기 접속부를 통해 외부 저장 매체가 접속되었음이 인식되면 자동으로 상기 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부가 디스플레이되도록 제어하는 이미지처리부; 및 사용자의 입력에 따라 상기 디스플레이된 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부를 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹사이트로 전송하는 인화처리부를 포함한다.
여기서, 상기 이미지처리부는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 포맷의 이미지 또는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 개수의 이미지만 디스플레이되도록 제어할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 인화처리부는 인화된 사진을 배송받기 위한 상기 사용자의 주소 정보 및 사진 인화에 대한 결제를 위해 필요한 정보를 전송하는 것이 바람직하다.
이하에서 첨부된 도면을 참조하여, 본 발명의 바람직한 실시예를 상세히 설명한다.

본 발명의 일실시예에 따르면, 사용자가 디지털 TV에 디지털 카메라를 연결 하여 디지털 TV가 이를 인식하면(210), 자동으로 지정된 디렉토리에 디지털 카메라에 저장된 이미지를 모두 복사한다. 디지털 TV와 디지털 카메라를 연결하는 수단은 IEEE 1394, USB 등 다양한 인터페이스가 이용될 수 있으며, 특정한 방법으로 한정되지 않는다. 또한, 사용자는 사진 이미지가 저장된 디지털 카메라를 디지털 TV에 연결할 수도 있지만, 디지털 TV와 접속 가능한 다양한 방식의 저장 매체를 사용할 수도 있다.
한편, 디지털 카메라의 이미지를 복사할 디렉토리는 사용자가 미리 지정할 수 있으며, 본 실시예에서는 디지털 카메라에 저장된 모든 이미지를 복사하는 것으로 설명하였으나 사용자가 미리 설정한 특정 포맷 또는 특정 크기의 이미지만을 복사하도록 설정할 수도 있을 것이다. 즉, 예를 들면 사용자의 설정에 따라 JPEG 이미지 파일만을 복사하도록 하거나, 200KB 이하의 크기를 가지는 이미지 파일만을 복사하도록 할 수도 있을 것이다.
디지털 TV는 이미지 파일 복사가 완료되면 복사한 이미지들을 사용자에게 디스플레이한다(230). 이 때, 사용자의 편의를 위해 복사한 이미지들에 대한 썸네일들을 생성하여 디스플레이하도록 하는 것이 바람직할 것이다. 한편, 구현예에 따라 복사한 이미지들을 모두 표시하도록 할 수도 있지만, 미리 정해진 크기로 한 화면에 모두 표시할 수 있는 개수의 이미지만을 디스플레이하도록 할 수도 있을 것이다.
다음으로, 사용자가 디스플레이된 이미지들 중 인화하기 원하는 이미지를 리모컨을 이용하여 선택하면, 사용자가 선택한 이미지를 인터넷을 통해 사진 인화 서 비스를 제공하는 웹사이트로 전송한다(240). 인화할 이미지를 전송할 네트워크의 주소는 미리 사용자가 설정할 수 있을 것이다. 다음으로, 인화된 사진들을 배송받을 사용자의 주소 정보 및 결제 처리에 필요한 정보를 전송한다(250). 이러한 정보들 역시 미리 사용자가 입력하여 디지털 TV에 저장되어 있을 것이며, 결제 처리에 필요한 정보는 결제 방법에 따라 신용카드 번호, 이동전화번호 등이 될 수 있을 것이며, 결제 방법은 특정한 것으로 한정하지 않는다.
이러한 일련의 단계들을 수행하는 디지털 TV를 이용하면, 사용자는 별도의 번거로운 작업들을 수행할 필요 없이, 디지털카메라를 디지털 TV에 연결한 후 리모컨으로 사진 이미지를 선택하는 것만으로 원하는 이미지들을 인화할 수 있게 된다.
도 3은 본 발명의 다른 실시예에 따라 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 방법을 나타낸 순서도이다. 본 실시예는 사용자가 디지털 카메라를 디지털 TV에 연결하여 이미지 파일에 대한 복사를 완료하였으나, 그 이후의 과정을 수행하지 않고 TV전원을 껐다가 나중에 다시 켠 경우이다.
이미 이미지 파일에 대한 복사는 완료되었으므로, 사용자가 리모컨을 이용하여 사진 인화 프로그램을 실행시키면(310), 사진 인화 프로그램은 이전에 복사해놓은 사진 이미지들을 썸네일화하여 디스플레이한다(320).
다음으로, 사용자가 디스플레이된 이미지들 중 인화하기 원하는 이미지를 리모컨을 이용하여 선택하면, 인화 프로그램은 사용자가 선택한 이미지를 인터넷을 통해 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹사이트로 전송하고(330), 또한 인화된 사진들을 배송받을 사용자의 주소 정보 및 결제 처리에 필요한 정보를 전송한다(340).
즉, 단계 320 내지 단계 340은 인화 프로그램에 의해 수행되는 것이며, 도 2에서의 실시예는 디지털 TV에 디지털 카메라가 연결되었음이 인식되면 이 인화 프로그램이 자동으로 실행되는 경우라고 할 수 있을 것이다.
도 4는 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 디지털 TV의 구조도이다.
도 4에 도시된 바와 같이, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 디지털 TV(400)는 입출력부(420), 접속부(430), 인화처리부(440), 저장부(450), 이미지처리부(460) 및 네트워크통신부(470)를 포함한다. 본 실시예에서는 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 장치가 디지털 TV내에 구현된 것으로 가정하였으나, 셋탑박스 등과 같이 별도의 장치로 구현될 수도 있을 것이다.
입출력부(420)는 사용자의 리모컨 입력을 수신하거나, 이미지를 사용자에게 디스플레이하여 사용자와의 인터페이스를 제공하고, 접속부(430)는 디지털 카메라나 이동식 메모리 등 사진 이미지가 저장된 외부 저장 매체와의 접속 인터페이스를 제공한다. 이미지처리부(460)는 접속부(430)를 통해 외부 저장 매체(410)가 접속되면, 외부 저장 매체(410)에 저장된 사진 이미지들을 저장부(450)에 저장하고, 이들에 대한 썸네일을 생성하여 입출력부(420)를 통해 사용자에게 디스플레이한다.
이미지처리부(460)는 외부 저장 매체(410)에 저장된 이미지 모두를 디스플레이할 수도 있으나, 사용자에 의해 미리 설정된 특정 포맷의 이미지만을 디스플레이할 수도 있다. 이러한 설정 정보는 저장부(450)에 저장된다.
입출력부(420)에 의해 디스플레이된 이미지들 전부 또는 일부를 사용자가 리모컨을 조작하여 선택하면, 인화처리부(440)는 해당 이미지를 저장부(450)에서 추 출하여 인터넷과의 통신 인터페이스를 제공하는 네트워크 통신부(470)를 통해 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹사이트로 전송한다. 이 때, 인화처리부(440)는 인화된 사진들을 배송받을 사용자의 주소 정보 및 결제 처리에 필요한 정보를 전송한다(250). 이러한 정보들 역시 미리 사용자에 의해 저장부(450)에 저장된다.
도 5는 본 발명의 일실시예에 따른 디지털 TV에서 이미지를 디스플레이하고 있는 화면을 나타낸 도면이다.
사용자가 디지털 TV에 디지털 카메라 또는 사진 이미지가 저장된 저장 매체를 연결한 경우, 또는 사용자가 디지털 TV를 켜고 인화 프로그램을 실행시킨 경우, 도 5와 같은 화면이 표시될 것이다. 따라서, 사용자는 디스플레이된 이미지들 중 원하는 이미지를 선택하여 <인화>버튼을 누르기만 하면 사진 인화 서비스를 이용할 수 있게 된다.
한편, 상술한 본 발명의 실시예들은 컴퓨터에서 실행될 수 있는 프로그램으로 작성가능하고, 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 이용하여 상기 프로그램을 동작시키는 범용 디지털 컴퓨터에서 구현될 수 있다.
상기 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체는 마그네틱 저장매체(예를 들면, 롬, 플로피 디스크, 하드디스크 등), 광학적 판독 매체(예를 들면, 시디롬, 디브이디 등) 및 캐리어 웨이브(예를 들면, 인터넷을 통한 전송)와 같은 저장매체를 포함한다.
이제까지 본 발명에 대하여 그 바람직한 실시예들을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 발명이 속하는 기술 분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자는 본 발명이 본 발명의 본 질적인 특성에서 벗어나지 않는 범위에서 변형된 형태로 구현될 수 있음을 이해할 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 개시된 실시예들은 한정적인 관점이 아니라 설명적인 관점에서 고려되어야 한다. 본 발명의 범위는 전술한 설명이 아니라 특허청구범위에 나타나 있으며, 그와 동등한 범위 내에 있는 모든 차이점은 본 발명에 포함된 것으로 해석되어야 할 것이다.
본 발명에 따르면, 사용자는 디지털 카메라를 디지털 TV에 연결하고 인화하기 원하는 이미지를 선택하기만 하면 별도의 번거로운 작업을 할 필요 없이 디지털 카메라에 저장된 사진 이미지를 간편하게 인화할 수 있다.

Claims (13)

  1. 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 방법에 있어서,
    (a) 상기 디지털 TV에 사진 이미지가 저장된 외부 저장 매체가 접속되면 자동으로 상기 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부를 화면에 디스플레이하는 단계; 및
    (b) 상기 디스플레이된 사진 이미지 중 적어도 하나를 사용자가 선택하면 상기 선택된 이미지를 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 소정의 웹사이트로 상기 웹사이트의 인화 서비스를 위해 필요한 사용자의 정보와 함께 전송하며 인화를 요청하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  2. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 (a)단계는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 포맷의 이미지만 디스플레이하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  3. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 (a)단계는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 개수의 이미지만 디스플레이하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  4. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 (b)단계는 인화된 사진을 배송받기 위한 상기 사용자의 주소 정보를 상기 사용자가 선택한 이미지와 함께 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  5. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 (b)단계는 상기 웹사이트로 사진 인화에 대한 대금 결제를 위해 필요한 정보를 상기 사용자가 선택한 이미지와 함께 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  6. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 접속은 USB(Universal Serial Bus)를 통해 수행되는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
  7. 제 1항 내지 제 6항 중 어느 한 항에 의한 방법을 컴퓨터에서 실행시키기 위한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록 매체.
  8. 디지털 TV에서 사진 인화 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 하는 장치에 있어서,
    상기 디지털 TV에 외부 저장 매체가 접속되었음이 인식되면 자동으로 상기 사진 이미지의 일부 또는 전부가 디스플레이되도록 제어하는 이미지처리부; 및
    사용자가 상기 디스플레이된 사진 이미지 중 적어도 하나를 선택하면 상기 선택된 이미지를 사진 인화 서비스를 제공하는 웹사이트로 상기 웹사이트의 인화 서비스를 이용하기 위해 필요한 사용자 정보와 함께 전송하는 인화처리부를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  9. 제 8항에 있어서,
    상기 이미지처리부는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 포맷의 이미지만 디스플레이되도록 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  10. 제 8항에 있어서,
    상기 이미지처리부는 상기 저장 매체에 저장된 사진 이미지 중 미리 설정된 개수의 이미지만 디스플레이하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  11. 제 8항에 있어서,
    상기 인화처리부는 인화된 사진을 배송받기 위한 상기 사용자의 주소 정보를 상기 웹사이트로 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  12. 제 8항에 있어서,
    상기 인화처리부는 상기 웹사이트로 사진 인화에 대한 결제를 위해 필요한 정보를 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  13. 제 1항에 있어서,
    상기 외부 저장 매체는 상기 디지털 TV와 USB(Universal Serial Bus) 인터페이스를 통해 접속하는 것을 특징으로 하는 방법.
