Abstract
Description
Claims (14)
- 디지털 TV와 소정 통신 케이블을 통하여 연결된 DVD 플레이어 동작 방법으로서,(a) 상기 디지털 TV와의 데이터 통신이 시작되면, 요청에 의해 상기 통신 케이블 중 소정 채널을 통하여 상기 디지털 TV의 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보를 수신하는 단계; 및(b) 상기 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보에 적합하도록 DVD 재생 신호를 변환하여 상기 통신 케이블을 통하여 상기 디지털 TV로 출력하는 단계를 포함하는 디스플 레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 (a)단계에서 수신한 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보는 상기 디지털 TV의 화면비율 정보인 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 2항에 있어서, 상기 (b)단계에서상기 디지털 TV의 화면비율 정보에 적합하도록 상기 DVD 재생 신호를 변환하여 상기 통신 케이블로 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 (a)단계에서 수신한 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보는 상기 디지털 TV의 해상도 정보인 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 4항에 있어서, 상기 (b)단계에서상기 디지털 TV의 해상도 정보에 적합하도록 상기 DVD 재생 신호를 변환하여 상기 통신 케이블로 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 상기 (a)단계에서 수신한 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보는 암호화된 재생 신호를 해독할 수 있는 기능 유/무를 나타내는 암호 해독 기능 정보인 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 제 6항에 있어서, 상기 암호 해독 기능 정보가 수신되지 않은 경우,상기 수신된 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보에 상관없이 노이즈를 상기 통신 케이블로 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 방법.
- 디지털 TV와 소정 통신 케이블을 통하여 연결된 DVD 플레이어로서,제어 신호에 의해 상기 DVD 플레이어의 재생 신호를 스케일링하는 스케일러;상기 스케일링된 재생신호를 상기 통신 환경에 적합한 재생 신호로 변환하여 상기 케이블로 출력하는 신호 변환부; 및상기 디지털 TV와의 케이블 연결 및 데이터 통신 유/무를 체크하고, 상기 케이블의 특정 채널을 통하여 상기 디지털 TV의 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보를 수신하고, 수신한 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보에 따라 상기 재생 신호의 스케일링을 변환시키는 제어 신호를 출력하는 제어부를 포함하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는상기 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보로 상기 디지털 TV의 화면비율 정보를 수신 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 9항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는상기 디지털 TV의 화면비율 정보에 적합하도록 상기 재생 신호를 스케일링하는 제어신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는상기 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보로 상기 디지털 TV의 해상도 정보를 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 11항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는상기 디지털 TV의 해상도 정보에 적합하도록 상기 재생 신호를 스케일링하는 제어신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 8항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는상기 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보로 암호화된 재생 신호를 해독할 수 있는 기능 유/무를 나타내는 암호 해독 기능 정보를 수신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
- 제 13항에 있어서, 상기 제어부는암호 해독 기능 정보를 수신하지 못한 경우, 상기 스케일러 및 신호 변환부의 동작을 중지시키고, 상기 수신한 디스플레이 환경 설정 정보에 상관없이 노이즈를 상기 통신 케이블로 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 디스플레이 환경을 설정하는 DVD 플레이어.
