Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the reuse of a nuclear fuel assembly by forming an engaging part to the top end of a guide pipe and providing an insertion part into which the end part of said guide pipe is inserted to the adapter plate of an upper nozzle. CONSTITUTION:After the sleeve 3b of the guide part 3 of the nuclear fuel assembly is inserted into the insertion part 10a of an insertion hole 10, the projecting part 3d of the sleeve 3b is engaged with an engaging groove 10b by laterally sliding the upper nozzle and thereafter, a fixing member is fitted from the upper part of the adapter plate 1a into the insertion 10a of the insertion hole 10, by which the removal of the sleeve 3b from a detaining part 10c is prevented. Plural recesses 10d for caulking are provided to the insertion part 10a to prevent the fixing member from being removed from the insertion hole 10 and the inner side face of the fixing member is caulked at plural points. While the guide pipe 3 is easily fixed to the adapter plate 1a in such a manner, the removal of the guide pipe is possible. As a result, the reuse of the nuclear fuel assembly is enabled.
