PURPOSE:To make an inexpensive and highly accurate connector for a optical fiber by separately producing a plug body and a plug supporting body; the former including the parts for which high accuracy is required, the latter for which so much high accuracy is not required. CONSTITUTION:A plug body 371 of roughly a bottomed cylindrical shape pierced with a hole part 37a in the inside and a fine hole part 173 through which the core part of an optical fiber passes at the peak face 174 of a head part 172 is made. On the other hand, a plug supporting body 372 formed with an external screw 175 and a flange part 176 on the outside circumference and provided internally with a hole part 37b of the same diameter as that of the hole part 37a and a large diameter part 373 of the same diameter as the outside diameter of the plug body 371 is made. Both these are formed into one piece by such a means as an adhesive or a shrinkage fitting system in the large hole part 373, whereby a plug 37 is formed. At this time, the plug body 371 having the head part 172 and fine hole part 173 for which high accuracy is required is produced dividedly from the plug supporting body 372.
