Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve welding efficiency and welding quality by calculating each integral value of the arc voltage or an electric current at the specific position and in the turning angle range of each electrode and controlling the positions and interlocked rotation of the electrodes based on the deviation of the difference and sum thereof. CONSTITUTION:The L side electrode 1 and the R side electrode 2 are arranged with a groove center line 4 between and wires 22 and 23 and arcs 24 and 25 carry out rotating circular motions via a rotating motor 7 and gears 9, 10 and 11. At this time, the size of each turning angle phi at the groove edge closest positions L1 and R2 of the electrodes 1 and 2 is made in the range of 5-90 deg. and the integral values SL and SR of the arc voltage or current values are calculated. The width direction positions of the electrodes 1 and 2 are corrected so that the difference of SL and SR is diminished to zero and further, the electrodes 1 and 2 are interlocked and rotated so that the deviation of the sum of SL and SR is diminished to zero. By this method, profiling accuracy of the electrodes and the bead width and height are made appropriate and the welding efficiency and the welding quality are improved.
