Abstract
PURPOSE:To form two-colored patterns consisting of an underlaying metal and chromatic metal with high accuracy by masking a paint by pad printing or screen printing on the surface of metallic ornamental goods, then forming a chromatic metallic film by ion plating thereon and stripping the film together with the masking material. CONSTITUTION:The masking 2 of the precision patterns consisting of the heat resistant paint is formed by the pad printing or screen printing on the surface of the underlaying metal 1 of the ornamental goods such as bracelets, spectacle frames and watch bands consisting of stainless steel such as SUS304 or under lying metal having a metal plating film and ion plating film. The metallic film 3 of TiN, etc., is formed by the ion plating method thereon; thereafter, the ornamental goods are immersed into an org. solvent which dissolves the masking 2 to strip the masking 2 and the golden film thereon. The two-color patterns of high precision consisting of the underlaying metal 1 and the golden film 3 are thereby formed.
