Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve frequency characteristics in a high-frequency range by forming a plate element of a high magnetic permeability plate material, forming an insulating layer consisting of a metal oxide film on one surface side of said element and cutting the element to a core shape. CONSTITUTION:The plate element 5 is formed by depositing and forming the metal oxide film on one or both faces of a hoop material consisting of 'Permal loy(R)'. The core pieces 5 having detaining means 2 are formed by cutting with a press from the plate element 5. The resulted plural core pieces 7 are engaged with respective detaining means 2 and are laminated. The depressed holes on the side A of the core pieces and the small projections on the side B of the other core pieces are then engaged with each other. The small projections positioned on the rear side of the respective core pieces are press-fitted into the depressed holes of the core pieces when external force is exerted over the entire part. The entire part is thus integrated and fixed to each other. This integrated assembly is thereafter inserted into a furnace kept at a pre scribed temp. and is subjected to a prescribed annealing treatment to relieve the strains accumulated in the core pieces. A magnetic head core 6 is thus produced.
