Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure the consistency of sheets by making the peripheral speed of a roller to be situated at the outside of a conveying passage speedier than that of the inside, in case of a roller pair which is opposed to each other in holding the almost circular conveying passage, from tray to tray, in between and gives conveying force to each sheet. CONSTITUTION:Each tray 60 goes down to a sheet takeout position X3 in succession, and feeds the mounted sheets to the inside of a curved conveying passage 80 by a takeout roller 75, transferring these sheets onto a staple tray 91 by each rotational drive of plural feed roller pairs 81a, 81b...83a, 83b being set up as opposed to one another. Here, each peripheral speed of outer rollers 81a-83a is set to be larger than that of inner rollers 81b-83b according to curvature of the conveying passage 80, and thereby both outer and inner sheets are made so as to be discharged and dropped on the staple tray 91 almost at the same time and to be butted to a stopper 96. With this constitution, the consistency of these sheets on the tray is in no case disordered and, what is more, the occurrence of a jam due to clogging of outer sheets is thus preventable.
