Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain granulated particles having improved powder handleability and sol dispersibility, by feeding an aqueous dispersion containing vinyl chloride polymer for paste processing to a spray dryer under a specific condition. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous dispersion containing vinyl chloride polymer for paste processing in <=100mum average droplet diameter is fed to a spray dryer into which drying high-temperature air flow at >=50 deg.C and powder recycling low-temperature air flow at <=50 deg.C are introduced and fine powder accompanied by exhaust air and taken out is separated. The fine powder together with the low-temperature air flow is recycled in the spray dryer and integrated with sprayed liquid drops to form aggregates. Aggregates having reached the aimed size are taken out at <=15% water content, the polymer aggregates are dried at <=50 deg.C and the polymer is granulated. The aggregate particles of the granulated polymer have preferably 300-50mum particle diameter.
