Abstract
PURPOSE:To contrive improvements of wear of a cutter at the time of working a paper and abrasion of a cutter incorporated in a printer, by using a coated paper with a specified construction as a base. CONSTITUTION:A coated paper having a coat layer containing a filler consisting of a filler with a Mohs' hardness of not more than 5 as a main constituent and having a basis weight of a least 200g/m<2> is used as a base, whereby cutter durability is enhanced. The base can be obtained by a method wherein the filler comprising at least 50wt.% of a filler having a Mohs' hardness of not more than 5 is dispersed in water together with a usual binder, the dispersed liquid is applied to one or both sides of a base paper made or laminated by a conventional method in a coating weight after drying of 1-10g/m<2>, followed by drying. A thermal color forming layer consisting mainly of a known leuco dye and a known color developer ordinarily used is provided on the base constituted of the coated paper.
