Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a heat exchanger than can be joined in one piece as a stratified body in face contact state without including a gasket and has extremely wide heat exchange characteristics by combining metal plates in simple size and simple shape where a channel for fluid is formed on a surface. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger is constituted by alternately joining a plurality of flat stainless steel plate 10 and 11. A channel 13 is formed on the steel plate 10 and a plurality of channels 18 being extended to a outflow part 16 from a flow-in part 14 are constituted. The steel plate 11 has a channel 20 in the same direction, and a plurality of straight line channels 25 being extended to an inflow part 23 from an outflow part 21 are constituted. The channels 25 on the steel plate 11 are opened at the top and bottom parts of the heat exchanger and allows a first fluid to flow in a vertical direction. The channel 18 of the steel plate 10 is covered with an inflow header 27 and an outflow header 28, and the second fluid is guided to the channel of the steel plate 10 that is in a layer alternately. Also, by using various kinds of other properly formed steel plate channels, heat exchange with the same direction flow, a counter flow, and a crossing flow can be made.
