Abstract

PURPOSE:To heat prepregs rapidly and directly into their inner part, to cause the common use of a furnace to be easy and to cause the piling operation after melting to be unnecessary by a method in which the prepregs piled up on a pallet are charged on a microwave applicator, and then are heated and melted by microwave. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of prepregs Pr are piled up on a pallet 5, and are charged on the receiving seat 4 in an applicator 3. The microwave emitted from an oscillator 1 is led to the applicator 3 by a wave guide 2 and is applied onto the prepregs Pr, whereby it is heated. The prepregs Pr melted at suitable temperature are taken out from the applicator 3 with the pallet 5, and then they are transferred to forming machine, and are laminated and formed there. Since the prepregs Pr are heated by microwave, even if a plurality of the prepregs are piled up, they are rapidly and directly heated to an outer periphery from an inner part. When the prepregs are heated, since a plurality of the prepregs are piled up, the space is remarkably saved as compared with the case where the prepregs are put side by side mutually, and the common use of the applicator is easily carried out. Moreover, since the prepregs are heated and melted in the piled up state, the operation of piling after melting becomes unnecessary.
