Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely prevent knocking and ensure the high controlling accuracy of ignition timing by correcting ignition timing st the time of a steady operation and at the time of a transient operation with a value in which a reserved amount is subtracted from a knock correcting quantity corresponding to knocking as a reference value. CONSTITUTION:A knock correcting quantity is calculated by a knocking correcting quantity calculating means (b) in accordance with the output of a knock sensor (a) for detecting the knocking condition of an engine, and a value in which a defined value is subtracted from the knock correcting quantity when an engine carries out a defined operation or is operated for a defined time with the same load and in the same rotation zone as those at the point of time of calculating this correcting value, is stored as a learned value by a memory means (c). A means (d) for correcting ignition timing from this stored value and the knock correcting quantity is provided while also providing a means (e) for correcting the defined value which is subtracted from the knock correcitng quantity in accordance with the output of the knock sensor at the time of a transient operation to correct ignition timing, thereby, the effect of dispersion in an engine or variation with time can be reduced, surely preventing knocking at a transient time, to ensure the high controlling accuracy of ignition timing.
