Abstract

PURPOSE: To make capping-force adjustment exceedingly easier and the structure of a capping head simplified by assembling a cylinder head to a spindle or a rotor, coupling the cylinder to the capping mechanism of the capping head through a shaft of the spindle, and forcing the capping mechanism downward according to a pressure of a pressurized fluid supplied to the cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A piston 51 constituting a cylinder 50 is fitted to the bottom end of a drive shaft 34 so that the piston 51 can be moved vertically in a spindle 5. A pressure chamber 54 is formed between a seal plate 53 and the piston 51. A compressed air from a pressure source 69 is supplied into the pressure chamber 54 through feed pipes 64, 62 and pressure-controlled by a high-pressure regulator 67H and a low-pressure regulator 67L. A pressurized fluid is supplied into the pressure chamber 54 to press a cap guard 75 of a capping mechanism 72 downward through the drive shaft 34.
