Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve performance of a winter tire on a frozen road surface by combinedly arranging tread patterns with a normal line on a tread side wall between a read base portion and a tread surface of the tread tilting either forward or backward relative to a forward moving direction. CONSTITUTION:A pattern 'b' in which a normal line 3 on a tread side wall 4 between a tread base portion 1 and a tread surface 2 of the tread is tilted backward relative to a forward moving direction of a tire, and a pattern 'c' with said normal line tilting forward are optionally combined to constitute a tread pattern. With this constitution, respective tread patterns function effectively on respective road surface environment. Thus, the tire performance on a frozen road surface or the like can be improved.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Field of Industrial Application) The present invention relates to a tread pattern for winter tires that improves the safety of starting, braking, climbing, and descending slopes on snow-packed roads and icy surfaces in winter.

(Prior Art) The treads of conventional winter tires are made at a right angle or at an angle greater than a right angle from the tread contact surface, and are deformed into a shape that tilts slightly forward, resulting in a decrease in frictional resistance.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) The tread pattern of conventional winter tires deforms on the contact surface and reduces frictional resistance, so the tread pattern has not been able to achieve its full performance on packed snow and ice surfaces.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above-mentioned problems of conventional tread patterns, in this invention, when a forward or backward driving force is applied, the tread changes the relationship between the driving force and the vehicle weight. (Function) In the part where the normal line 131 from the tread base (1) to the trend contact surface (2) is tilted backwards, when forward driving force is applied, the rubber hardness, inclination angle, and tread thickness are related. This causes the tread angle to shrink, expand, and stand up, thereby increasing the frictional effect, and since the patterns are arranged one behind the other, the backward driving force and braking have the same effect. The effect is stronger on uphill roads and downhill slopes, and when driving on flat roads, the effect is small except for sudden starts and accelerations, and the effect is about the same as that of ordinary tire treads.

(Effect of the invention) Low resistance ratio except where the rotating object connects with the interlocking body 2
For example, in the case of substances such as air and water, the rate of action differs depending on the construction of curves and angles. In contrast to conventional tire treads, the normal line extends somewhat perpendicularly from the axis of rotation.

The tread of the present invention may be tilted backward in the forward direction of the vehicle with respect to the vertical line from the axis of rotation, or tilted forward.
Because both tread patterns are arranged, the normal line of the tread side wall to the forward direction is upright when starting or climbing on a road with a low resistance ratio such as a snowy road or ice floe surface that is not an interlocking body. The effect is greater when the normal line is tilted backwards with respect to the rotating body rotating in the forward direction. Also, in terms of braking and downhill safety.
