For example, in a car's air conditioning system, the air conditioning unit is installed at the front end of the cabin, so the front seats are directly close to the indoor air outlet and are supplied with a sufficient amount of conditioned air, but the rear seats are not supplied with sufficient conditioned air. It becomes difficult. For this reason, air conditioners are installed exclusively for the rear seats, or a rear air guide duct is connected to the front air conditioning unit to supply conditioned air to the rear seats. Having to install an air conditioning system separately from the one for the front seats not only increases costs, but also increases the size of the equipment and reduces interior space. However, since the duct is long to reach the rear seats, the amount of air blown to the rear seats tends to be insufficient due to duct resistance, etc., and the blower of the air conditioning unit needs to be larger, which increases noise and equipment. There was a problem with increasing the size.

To solve this problem, as shown in FIG. 1, a duct 11 is connected to an air conditioning unit 1, and a blower 12 is provided at the tip of the duct 11 to blow out conditioned air from a rear outlet 13. Yes (publication number 48-32840).

However, when the air conditioner is configured in this manner, there is a problem that the blower 12 is not used and is wasted when there is no passenger in the rear seat.

According to the vehicle air conditioner according to the present invention, in addition to the intake side blower, the air conditioning unit includes a blower for blowing air to the rear seats, so that a sufficient amount of conditioned air is supplied to the rear seats. Additionally, the conditioned air that should be sent to the rear seats can be switched to the front seats by using an air volume adjustment damper.
Even when there is no need to send conditioned air to the rear seats, the ability to supply conditioned air to the front seats can be increased by effectively using the blower for the rear seats as a blower for the front seats. Furthermore, since no blower is installed in the rear seat air guide duct, the duct only needs to be installed inside the passenger compartment, which suffices for the minimum installation space. In addition, since the blower is housed in the air conditioning unit, noise is less likely to leak into the passenger compartment, and since two blowers work together, the noise is lower than when only one blower blows air powerfully. This reduces the level of friction and improves the comfort of the vehicle interior.
