Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a tire block from, cracking by forming a kerf at a specific position of a spike tire. CONSTITUTION:A kerf molding protrusion 2 is formed near a spike pin burying hole forming protrusion 4 in a metal mold 1 for molding a spike tire. The protrusion 2 is formed to reduce the deformation of a tire block 3 due to the protrusion 4 and to release the tire from the mold 1 with a small deformation. The block 3 is prevented from cracking.

[Prior art] Conventionally, a mold for a spiked tire has a structure that can be split into two at the center of the mold, which has a protrusion for forming a hole for driving a spike pin into a tire block. type is widely used. When molding a tire using such a spiked tire mold with a split type structure, the area around the hole for driving the spike pin (hereinafter abbreviated as the spike pin hole) in the tire block, especially the block that is part of the tire center. There was a problem in that cracks or cracks (hereinafter referred to as cracks) were likely to occur. for example,
Figures 2 (a), (b), and (c) are respectively plan views of the block portion of a conventional two-split type spike tire mold;
FIG. 2(a) is a cross-sectional view taken along the line A-A in FIG. As shown, when the mold 1 is removed from the tire block 3 after molding, the block 3 is strongly deformed by the spike pin hole forming projections 4 of the mold 1, causing cracks to occur. This crack is larger than the shoulder part of the tire when the spike bottle hole forming protrusion 4 is formed.
Cracks often occur in the center part of the tire, which is easily subject to strong deformation due to spikes, but in order to prevent this crack from occurring, it is necessary to change the shape of the block of the spiked tire, the position of the spike pin hole,
In some cases, it becomes impossible to avoid restrictions on the rubber compounding composition of tires, and in the industrial production of spiked tires,
It was extremely disadvantageous.

Figures 1 (a), (b), and (c) are a plan view of a block portion of a mold for a spiked tire of the present invention, a sectional view taken along the line A-A'' in Figure 1 (a), and a tire 1 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing a deformed state of a tire block at the time of mold release.As shown in the figure, the mold 1 of the present invention has a protrusion 4 for forming a spike bin hole inside the tire block 3; A kerf forming protrusion 2 is provided on the side of the spike pin hole forming protrusion 4 at the halved position of the mold (that is, the position indicated by the line X-X in FIG. 3).Mold 1 of the present invention. As is clear from the comparison between FIG. 1 (c) showing the deformed state of the tire block when the tire is released from the tire mold and FIG. 2 (c) showing that of the conventional mold, When a mold having a protrusion 2 for forming a kerf is used, the deformation of the tire block 3 due to the protrusion 4 for forming a spike pin hole is reduced compared to a conventional mold not having such a protrusion 2 for forming a kerf. The mold can be released from the tire (block) with a small amount and with small deformation.Therefore, the spike pin hole forming projections 4 do not cause cracks in the tire block 3.
Can be easily released from the mold.

In such a mold according to the present invention, the shape of the cuff-forming projections 2 can take various shapes, but usually takes a plate-like shape and is arranged along the tire circumferential direction. However, in order to effectively prevent cracks in the tire blocks when releasing the mold from a tire produced by the mold of the present invention, it is necessary to
Figures 4 (a) and (a) show the dimensions and their positional relationships.
The relationship b) is satisfied, that is, the projected length of the calf forming projection 2 is 7! (As described later, the protrusions for forming the kerf take various shapes, so the projected length) shall be at least 5 m111 or more, and the maximum height d shall be 30% or less of the height of the protrusion for forming the spike pin hole, and , the relative distance m between the spike pin hole forming protrusion 4 and the kerf forming protrusion 2
is preferably within the range of 5 to 15+vn+.
