Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 く本発明の産業上の利用分野〉 本発明は、樹脂平面に押し付けて回転して、庁漂然によ
って樹脂平面に溶着するための、樹脂製回転溶着部材に
関する。
〈従来技術〉(第8.9図) 樹脂平面に回転F8着するための従来の樹脂製回転溶着
部材、例えばスタッド1や留め具2は、第8図、第9図
の如く柱部3の一端に円板状のフランジ部4を突設し、
フランジ部4の溶着面と反対側の周縁部に係合突起5を
突設した構造となっている。
この樹脂製部材を[Ff!Jの取付基板に取付けるには
第10図に示すように、樹脂製の取付基板6の取付ける
べき位置に、回転治具7でスタッド1又は留め具2を保
持して押し付け、回転治具7の切欠き7aに係合突起5
を係合して高速回転させる。この時に生じる摩擦熱によ
って7ランジ部4及び取付基板6の両接触面が溶融する
。回転を停止した後、溶融部は冷却、硬化し、この結果
、スタッド1又は留め具2は取付基板6に強固に固定さ
れる。
く本発明が解決しようとする問題点〉 しかしながら、上記の構造のスタッド1又は留め具2で
は、この回転溶着の際に生じるI!!擦熱によって、フ
ランジ部4と取付基板6の接触面が溶融するばかりでな
く、取付基板6が充分に厚くないと、この摩擦熱の過剰
分によって取付基板6の裏面側までが軟化して、溶着の
ための回転治具7によるスタッド1又は留め具2への押
圧とも相まって、第11図に示すように取付基板6の裏
面側が外方へ凸状に膨出したり、あるいは、フランジ部
4と取付基板6の相互間の線膨張係数の相違のために、
溶aimに冷えて硬化収縮する際の収縮率の相違によっ
て、第12図に示すように取付基板6の裏面に湾曲やシ
ワが生じる、いわゆる“裏つツリ現誉”が生じていた。
このため、取付基板6の表面が外装品として用いられる
場合には、この“裏つツリ現象”のために外観性を著し
く低下させていた。
く本発明の目的〉 本発明は、このような外観性の低下をtn<”裏つツリ
現象″の発生をできる限り少なくするためにフランジ部
の形状を改造して過剰熱による影響及び線膨張係数の相
違による影響を低減した樹脂製回転溶着部材を提供する
ことを目的としている。
く本発明の手段〉 上記目的を達成するため、本発明では、樹rffi製回
転溶着部材のフランジ部に肉厚方向の貫通穴を設置ノた
ことを特徴としている。
く上記手段による作用〉 このように7ランテ部に貫通穴を設けたため、回転溶着
時に生じた過剰熱が貫通穴から空気中へ放出されて7ラ
ンテ部に溜まらず、フランジ部の接触面積が減るため、
摩擦熱の発生量が減少し、回転時に空気をさき込むため
過剰熱が奪われる、などの理由から、過剰熱が取付基板
の裏面まで伝わらず、裏面の膨出が少なくなる。
また、フランジ部と取付基板の相互間の線膨張係数に相
違があっても、フランジ部に貫通穴があると、フランジ
部の方が変形しやす(なるため、硬化収縮時にフランジ
部の方が取付基板に変形追従して、湾曲やシワを生じる
ことが少なくなる。
く本発明の実施例〉(第1〜7図) 以下、図面に基づいて本発明の詳細な説明する。
第1〜4図はそれぞれ本発明による樹脂製回転溶着部材
(スタッド又は留め具)の実施例を示している。
第1図は合成樹脂で一体成形されたスタッドで、円筒状
の柱部10と、その一端に突設された円板状のフランジ
部11と、フランジ部11の溶着面と反対面側の周縁部
に突設された係合突起12とを備え、フランジ部11に
は肉厚方向に貫通した複数の丸穴13.13、・・・・
・・を備えている。
第2図は柱部10に係合用の弾性突起14.14を備え
た留め具で、他の部分の構造は第1図と同一である。
第3図、第4図は丸穴13の代わりに、円周方向の複数
の長穴15.15、・・・・・・を設けた実施例を示し
ている。
第5図の如く回転治具16で樹脂製回転溶着部材(スタ
ッド又は留め具)を保持し、回転治具16の切欠き16
a、16aに係合突起12.12を係合して合成樹脂製
の取付基板17にフランジ部11を押し付けて高速回転
させると、接触面が摩擦熱で溶融して溶着する。この際
に生じる摩擦熱が丸穴13あるいは長穴15から放出さ
れて過剰分がフランジ部11に溜まらず、また丸穴13
、あるいは長穴15のために7ランテ部11の接触面積
が減るからam熱の発生量が減り、また回転時に丸穴1
3又は長穴15が空気を巻き込むため熱が奪われるため
、摩擦熱の過剰分がフランジ部11に溜まることがなく
、従って取付基板17の裏面側が従来の如く凸状に膨出
する“裏つツリ現象゛°が生じることが少なくなる。
また、フランジ部11と取付基板17の相互間の線膨張
係数に相違があっても、フランジ部11に丸穴13又は
長穴15があるため、7ランテ部11の方が変形しやす
くなり、硬化収縮時に取付基板17の変形に追従するか
ら、取付基板17の裏面に湾曲やシワを生じる“衷つツ
リ現争″の発生が少なくなる。
なお、溶着時にフランジ部11の丸穴13又は長穴15
内に、取付基板17の溶融部分17aが進入して固化す
るため、取付基板17へのフランジ部11の固定が一層
強固になる。このため、丸穴13(又は長穴15)に第
7図の如く段部13aを設けると、溶融部分17aが固
化すると段部13aに係合した状態となるから、固定が
さらに強固になる。
なお、フランク部11の貫通穴の形状は第1〜4図及び
第7図のものに限らず、他の任意の形状にすることがで
きる。
く本発明の効果〉 以上説明したように本発明の樹脂製回転溶着部材は構成
されているので、取付基板の裏面の″裏つツリ現象”の
発生を少なくすることができる。
また、貫通穴内へ取付基板の溶融部分が進入した状態で
固化するから取付けが一層強固となる。
