ばりを切断除去して鋳物を仕上げるのに好適なカ
ツターに関する。

鋳物を固定台上に載置しカツターを下降させて不
要物を切り離すようにした方法が研究開発されて
おり、そのカツターとしては筒体の内面に刃を何
重にも設けたいわゆる外面ブローチ構造のものが
採用されている。しかし、このブローチ構造のカ
ツターは、刃の構造が複雑で製作するのに非常に
時間がかかるために高価であり、しかも、材料が
工具鋼で非常に硬く加工困難であるため、刃の形
状が多角形状あるいは円形状であり、したがつ
て、処理できる鋳物は外形が単純なものに限られ
ていた。

の直上方に図示しない下向きシリンダを介して昇
降可能に配設されている。そして、該カツター機
構3は板状の数枚のカツター片4a,4b、……
を重ね合わせて成るカツター5と、該カツター5
を取り付ける中空状のカツター取付ヘツド6とで
構成されている。また、カツター片4a,4b、
……は材料が工具鋼板で非常に硬いが、CO2レー
ザー切断機Cによつて鋳物Mの外形と相似する孔
7a,7b、……が明けられている。第2図に示
すように、切断機Cによる切口がV字状になるた
め、孔7a,7b、……は第3図に示すように下
に向つて小さくなり、したがつて、カツター片4
a,4b、……下面の孔7a,7b……周縁には
適宜の切断刃が形成される。こうして形成される
刃は、CO2レーザ切断機Cによる切断により焼入
されて非常に硬くなつている。また、孔7a,7
b、……は上位のものほど小さく、最上位の孔7
eは鋳物Mの外形と略同一の大きさになつてい
る。

ため、湯道、押湯はもちろん、ばりをも確実に切
断除去することができるなどの優れた実用的効果
を奏する。
