本発明は電熱装置を設えた高周波加熱装置に関
するものであり、短時間で焦げ目をつけしかも長
寿命のヒータを提供することを目的とするもので

高周波加熱装置は食品自体が高周波電力を吸収

欠点があつた。そこで電熱装置付高周波加熱装置
が考えられた。当初、電熱装置として、金属パイ
プ内に電熱コイルと絶縁充填剤を共に内蔵したシ
ーズヒータが採用されていた。このシーズヒータ
は電熱コイルが金属パイプに覆われているので、
高周波が電熱コイルに悪影響を及ぼすことが無
く、安全性においては適したものであるが、一
方、食品を焦がす能力としては赤外線輻射可能程
度の高温に達するのが遅く不満足なものであつ
た。この欠点を改善するため、近年では電熱コイ
ルを、石英管等の耐熱絶縁物に内蔵した。いわゆ
る石英管ヒータが採用されている。第1図に示す
電熱装置付高周波加熱装置がそれである。以下図
面と共に説明する。マグネトロン1から発生した
高周波は導波管2を通り加熱室内3に拡散され
る。拡散された高周波は、被加熱物4に吸収され
被加熱物4自体の発熱で調理される。その後石英
管ヒータ5で焦げ色をつけ調理完了する。石英管
ヒータ5は電熱コイルから生じる赤外線が石英管
を透過し、被加熱物4に直接輻射されるので、焦
げるスピードが速く効率が向上するのは確かであ
る。しかし第2図に示すように石英管6と電熱コ
イル7との接触面積が大きい為、電熱コイル7か
らの熱が石英管6に伝導されるので、この点を改
善するともつと立ちあがりが早く効率のよい電熱

に、一巻きごとに楕円形状を形成する角度を変え
てある。そのため一方向から見ると第3図に示す
ように石英管6の中に電熱ヒータ8が波打つよう
に収納されているように見えるが、これは形成さ
れる楕円形状の角度が変えてあるからであり、電
熱ヒータ8の一巻きが形成する楕円形状はほとん
ど全て両端部において石英管6の内壁に接してい
る。この電熱ヒータ8を石英管6に挿入した石英
管ヒータ5を内蔵した電熱装置付高周波加熱装置
は従来の電熱ヒータよりもまだ焦げるスピードが
速く効率がよい。これは、特殊な巻き方による効
