Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve collision energy absorption characteristics, by a method wherein, during collision from the rear of a car, a spare tyre is moved over a sloped part formed to the rear of a rear floor, and a mounting member is demounted. CONSTITUTION:When impact from the rear of a car body is exerted, a rear skirt 3 and a slope part 6, extended from the rear skirt 3 to a containing floor 4, are displaced forward. A rear part 1a of a spare tyre 1 is moved over the sloped part 6. In this case, a front part 1b of the spare tyre 1 is dropped in a recessed part 7 of the containing floor 4, and the tyre is further inclined around the front part 1b along with forward moving displacement of the sloped part 6. Since a mounting bolt 15 is inclined for displacement, a bracket 9 is deformed through a nut 12, and the mounting bolt 15 is slipped off from a slit 9b of the bracket 9, and a nut 12 flies out from a holding box 10. This causes the nut 12 to be disconnected from the mounting bolt 15 to release the spare tyre 1.

させるものであるから、衝突エネルギ吸収特性が著しく
改善されるという利点がある。
