2, phosphate treatment zone 6, chromate treatment zone 74,
The washing zone 5 and the washing sea 76 are arranged in series, and each zone 1 to 6 is provided with a tank below that accommodates a processing liquid suitable for each treatment, and defines a space in which the respective processing liquid is sprayed. In some cases, a booth is provided above, and the manuscript strip 7 is transported almost horizontally in the direction of the arrow 8. When processing metal strips in each zone, the processing liquid in the tank is pumped up by a pump and distributed in the booth while the metal strip to be processed passes vertically through the booths of those zones. The metal strip is sprayed through a nozzle provided and then returned to the tank.

Two types of surface treatment were performed: degreasing -> water washing - chromate treatment -> water washing -> water washing. However, when operating a surface treatment device that includes a chemical conversion treatment zone such as the above-mentioned phosphate treatment or chromate treatment, there is a problem in that the treatment time cannot be adjusted each time to the target gold strip. .

A plurality of spray nozzles with pulp that can be opened and closed are arranged along the transfer route of the IJ tube, and the treatment can be performed by opening and closing the valves. Time v! I have tried spraying metal strips vertically in normal air, and the upper part is a normal spray, so the reaction speed is sufficient, but the lower part is sprayed from above. The spray liquid from the nozzle is blocked by the falling flow, resulting in laminar flow processing.
The relationship between time and film weight becomes B in Figure 4, which cannot be expressed by a linear equation, and there is a problem in that it is difficult to adjust the film formation time. In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention provides a surface treatment method in which a metal strip is passed through a surface treatment apparatus including a chemical conversion treatment zone such as nonaphosphate treatment and chromate treatment.
The chemical conversion treatment zone is a treatment zone that is immersed in a vertically elongated treatment liquid tank, and a plurality of spray nozzles are arranged along the transfer path of the metal strip passing through the treatment liquid tank, and the plurality of spray An opening/closing pulp is interposed between the treatment liquid supply pipe to the nozzle and each spray nozzle, and the opening/closing of each opening/closing valve is adjusted to suit the metal strip to be treated. This is what I did.

The specific film formation is fast, and if the contact surface between the metal strip and the chemical conversion treatment liquid becomes turbulent, the diffusion layer will be thinner and the diffusion rate will be faster than in laminar flow. For this reason, in order to quickly carry out the chemical conversion reaction on the metal strip, it is necessary to keep the surface of the IJ tube in a turbulent state. Therefore, if you direct the nozzle at right angles to the metal strip in the processing solution,
The diffusion layer becomes extremely thin and the reaction rate increases.
In the case of jet flow in liquid, there is no difference in reaction speed due to the height difference between the top and bottom of the strip. The relationship between time and film weight can be expressed by a linear equation as shown in A in FIG. 4, which is advantageous in terms of equipment design.
