DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention produces veneers that are cheaper and of better quality than crooked defective logs that cannot normally be used for veneers.
The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing decorative laminates (generally referred to as veneers).

A veneer thinly peeled from raw wood of a desired tree with beautiful natural wood grain is adhered to the surface of a plywood board or laminated wood made by laminating multiple layers of lauan wood with adhesive and lamination, and used as wood-grained plywood or laminated wood. However, the logs used for this purpose are peeled from straight logs to a thickness of about 0.3 to 3.0 m/m. This can only be done if the raw wood is straight in order to be peeled with a slicer to a predetermined thin and uniform thickness. For this reason, since the raw wood is expensive, the piece of wood is also expensive. . However, crooked and defective logs, which were conventionally considered unusable, are inexpensive.

The present invention focuses on this crooked defective raw wood, and aims to provide high-quality veneer that is as good as good quality raw wood easily and inexpensively. The logs are sawn into planks using a sawmill along the curves of the logs, and the resulting curved planks are press-bonded to straight or nearly straight fixed wood and bonded with adhesive to straighten them as a single piece. The gist of this method is to slice a thick plate to the required thickness to obtain a veneer.

以下本発明を実施例に基いて説明する。 The present invention will be explained below based on examples.

First, bent logs 1, which were conventionally considered to be defective as logs for veneer boards, are milled into thick boards using a sawmill. Make it a board.
The thickness of the thick plate 2 is not limited to the above-mentioned thickness as long as it can be press-bonded to the fixed tree 3 in a subsequent process and processed straight. This is determined based on the type, thickness, degree of dryness, and other conditions of the log that will be used as the veneer, so as to be optimal for the log. Next, this plank is made of wood, plastic, metal, etc. and is a cubic plank with at least one flat surface, and the bent plank is straightened by press bonding and straightened by adhesive 4. Glue the fixed tree and plank into one piece. At this time, depending on the bending direction of the thick plate, the thick plate is press-bonded in such a way that the bend of the plate can be easily corrected as shown in FIGS. 4A and 4B. This adhesive is commonly used wood glue or other adhesives, and the adhesive to the fixed wood is temporary and is only used when making veneers from thick boards. Although it is not ultimately used as a material, it is desirable to have quick drying properties for work efficiency and other reasons, and to have the necessary adhesive strength to correct the curls of the plank and keep it straight along the fixed tree. Furthermore, it is desirable that the bent plank formed by this press bonding is corrected so that it becomes straight even after it is peeled off as a veneer in cooperation with the fixed tree.

The planks of the raw wood that are pressure-glued to the fixed tree in this way are peeled to the required thickness of 0.3 to 3.0 mm using a slicer, but this depends on the thickness of the plank that is glued to the fixed tree and The number of pieces of wood is determined by the thickness of the piece of wood. A piece of wood is peeled off from a plank using a slicer, and when it reaches the part where it is bonded to the fixed tree, this bonded part is peeled off and the next plank is glued to the fixed tree again for reuse. If the fixed tree is made of metal, it is impossible to peel off the adhesive part along with a part of the fixed tree like wood or plastic, so it is necessary to peel off only the adhesive layer, remove it with chemicals, or polish it. This allows for reuse.

According to the present invention, bent, cheap, defective logs that could not previously be used as veneers are sawed into a plurality of planks along the curves of the logs, and these are press-bonded into straight fixed logs. Since the veneer is twisted and glued to make a straight board and then peeled off into the desired thin veneer, the veneer can be produced at a low cost and of the same quality as veneers made from expensive thick wood.
This has the advantage of being able to provide beautiful wood-grained plywood and laminated wood at low cost.
