Conventional automobile opera windows are manufactured by assembling separate parts, namely a window panel and molding. FIG. 1 is a side view showing a part of the body of an automobile, and FIG. 2 is a sectional view of a conventional window. In the drawings, B is a vehicle body, and W is an opera window provided on the side of the vehicle, which is composed of a window glass 1 and a molding 2 decorating its periphery. Molding 2 as a whole
It is molded from hard synthetic resin such as ABS resin, and has a decorative part 21 and an inner peripheral edge part 2 bent toward the window glass 1 side.
2. It has an outer peripheral edge portion 23 bent toward the panel P 1 side, and a plurality of bosses 25 are integrally provided at predetermined positions on the inside of the center portion 24 for attachment to the panel P (P 1 , P 2 ). A mounting bolt 26 is fixed to the tip of the boss 25.

On the other hand, the window glass 1 is fixed to the panel P with an adhesive 3. Reference numeral 4 denotes a cushioning material attached to the tip of the outer peripheral edge of the molding 2, which is usually made of soft synthetic resin, rubber, etc., and prevents damage to the panel P and window glass 1 when the molding is attached. The outer surface of the molding 2 is subjected to surface treatments such as painting, plating, and metal vapor deposition in order to enhance its decorativeness.

3 to 6, the opera window W is integrally formed with a frame 5 made of hard synthetic resin so as to cover the peripheral edge of the glass 1, and a plurality of mounting bolts 6 as a retainer are attached to the frame 5. is formed by being buried. The bolt 6 has a rectangular head 61 buried inside the frame 5 at a distance from the glass 1, and a leg 62 protrudes from the frame 5 toward the inside of the opera window W. A peripheral edge part 52 is formed on the frame 5 and projects from the periphery of a clamping part 51 that clamps the glass 1, and a seal lip part 53 made of soft synthetic resin is integrally molded at the tip of this peripheral edge part 52. 54 is a hole formed by the positioning pin 74.

As shown in FIG. 5, the method for manufacturing the window configured as described above is such that the head 61 protrudes into the cavity space 73 formed by the upper mold 71 and the lower mold 72 of the injection molding mold 7. Insert bolt 6 as shown, and then insert glass 1
is inserted and positioned by the positioning pin 74, and the head 61 of the bolt 6 is positioned by the extrusion pin 75 so as to maintain a distance from the glass 1, and resin is injected into the cavity space 73.
The frame 5 is formed. At this time, the head 61 of the bolt 6
A frame 5 is integrally formed to cover the peripheral edge of the glass 1 in a state where the glass 1 is embedded. After the mold is opened, the molded product is extruded by an extrusion pin 75, inserted into another injection mold (not shown), and a soft synthetic resin is injected to integrally form the seal lip portion 53.

As shown in FIG. 6, the opera window W manufactured as described above is fixed by inserting the legs 62 of the bolts 6 into the holes provided in the panel P, and applying the adhesive 3 between the glass 1 and the panel P. Glue it in between and attach it to the vehicle body B. In this case, the seal lip portion 53 is pressed against the panel P to maintain a sealed state.

In the above description, the frame 5 is desirably molded from a hard synthetic resin, but the material is not limited. The seal lip portion 53 is not necessarily necessary, and the frame 5 can also have a sealing function. Further, the shape and structure of the frame 5 are not limited to those shown in the drawings, and can be changed arbitrarily. Although the shape and structure of the retainer are not particularly limited, it is preferable if the head 61 is square or other non-circular shape, since the torque will be improved and the mounting stability will be even higher than when the head 61 is a perfect circle.

Furthermore, the surfaces of the frame 5 and the seal lip portion 53 can be subjected to surface treatments such as painting, plating, metal vapor deposition, etc. In this case, a peelable coating layer is formed on the surface of the glass 1 prior to forming the frame 5. After surface treatment, if the coating layer is cut along the inner peripheral edge of frame 5 and peeled off, surface treatment can be performed without using a mask jig. The present invention is applicable not only to opera windows but also to other vehicle windows.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a frame made of synthetic resin is integrally molded on the window panel, and
Since the retainer for attachment is configured to be embedded in the frame, attachment to the vehicle body is easy, the number of attachment steps is small, and manufacturing costs can be reduced. Also, since the retainer is molded with the window panels separated,
This prevents damage to the glass during insert molding, and is safe because the impact force in the installed state is not directly transmitted to the glass. Furthermore, since the head of the retainer is entirely covered with resin, effects such as improved torque and increased installation stability can be obtained.
