Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は耐炎加工布に関し、とくに航空機座席の表地と
内部のポリウレタンフォームとの間に配置し、ポリウレ
タンフォームを包み込んで使用するファイヤーブロンキ
ングレイヤーと呼ばれる耐炎布に関するものである。
従来、耐炎耐熱繊維織布をファイヤーブロッキングレイ
ヤーとして用いることが検討されているが、十分な耐炎
性能を持たせるためには、織布を十分厚く (例えば0
.7〜1.0 fil) Lなければならず、経済性、
快適性、可縫性等の点で種々の問題が有り、特に航空機
に使用する際、その重量が大きな問題となる0本発明は
、これらの点を解決し、ファイヤーブロッキングレイヤ
ーとして最適な耐炎加工布を提供しようとするもので、
その要旨は、カーボン繊維と耐熱合成繊維からなる耐炎
耐熱繊維織布1の少なくとも片面に、シリコーン系樹脂
2をコーティングし、これに微細な通気孔3を設けたこ
とを特徴とする耐炎加工布にある。
本発明で用いる耐炎耐熱繊維織布は、カーボン繊維例え
ばセミカーボン繊維(ポリアクリルニトリル系繊維又は
レーヨンを空気中で200〜300℃において焼成した
もの)と、例えばパラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊維を65
 : 35ないし50 : 50の割合で混紡した20
番手の紡績糸を、経糸、緯糸に使用した重量120〜1
60g/rrr、厚さ0.2〜0.5鮪の平織もしくは
綾織織布である。なお、上記繊維を交1然した織布を用
いることもできる。
本発明で用いる1lIJ i%合成繊維としては、上記
パラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊維のほか、メタ配向芳香族
ポリアミド繊維を用いることができるが、前者が好まし
い。
織布として、上記以外にセミカーボン繊維100%ある
いはパラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊維100%のものが考
えられるが、セミカーボン繊維のみの織布は屈曲、摩耗
に弱いため耐久性に乏しく、パラ配向芳香族ポリアミド
繊維のみの織布では耐炎性に乏しくかつ高価であり、上
記割合の混紡糸および交撚糸の織布が好適である。
上記織布にコーティングする耐熱樹脂としては、シリコ
ーン系、メラミン系等があるが、無機フィラー例えばシ
リカ、マイカ1アルミナ、酸化チタンを配合したシリコ
ーン系樹脂が耐炎性、断熱性の点で最適である。
前記無機フィラーはシリコーン系樹脂に適量混合する。
それによってシリコーン系樹脂の耐炎、耐熱性を一層高
めることができる。
この樹脂を、上記耐炎耐熱織布の片面又は両面に乾燥後
の樹脂重量80〜120g/m、加工布の厚さ0.2〜
0.5關となるよう均一にコーティングする。コーティ
ング樹脂量が80 g / n?以下では耐炎性が不十
分であり、120g/m2以上であれば軽量化のメリッ
トが無くなる。
この状態の加工布によると、耐炎性は十分であるが、通
気性が無いため、ファイヤーブロッキングレイヤーとし
て座席に使用した際、着席時並びに長時間着席した場合
に、座席内部の温度上昇や蒸れによる不快感が生じる。
また、実際に炎にさらされた場合、内部のポリウレタン
フォームが気化し、発生したガスにより座席が膨張し、
破裂の危険がある。この点を解消するため、上記のコー
ティングを施した加工布に、ニードルパンチ等の機械的
方法により通気量(JIS L 10964法にて測定
した)が2〜7cc/caT/秒となるように、直径0
.01〜0.3鶴の微細孔を1cal当り150〜25
0個均一に形成させる。微細孔の直径がこれ以上であっ
たり、通気量が多い場合は、耐炎性能が低下し、通気量
が2 cc/ c+J /秒以下では通気性が不十分で
ある。さらにこのような微細孔を形成させることにより
、加工布に柔軟な風合をもたせることができる。
これらの加工を施した加工布は、耐炎性に優れているば
かりでなく、軽(、薄く1通気性が有り、柔軟で、可縫
性が良い。そのため、航空機座席用ファイヤープロ7キ
ングレイヤーとして最適であるばかりでなく、車両用座
席並びに家庭用ソファ−やベッドの内張りや特殊耐熱防
護服等の用途に使用できる。
セミカーボン繊維とパラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊維を6
5735の割合で混紡し、厚さ0.27mmの織布を作
り、これに無機フィラー配合のシリコーン系樹脂を90
g/n?コーティングし、厚さQ、291II+とした
。この織布に微細な孔をあけて通気量を変え、試料A、
B。
Cを得た。
上記試料A、B、Cをファイヤーブロッキングレイヤー
として用い、座席を作製し、アメリカ連邦航空局が19
83年10月11日付けで公示した航空機用座席の新耐
火性基準案において、示された大型オイルバーナーによ
る燃焼試験法を適用し、座席の重量減少率+11を測定
した。その結果を以下に示す。

本発明の耐炎加工布によると、安価で、快適な使用感を
もつ縫製可能な、軽量の耐炎布を得ることができる。

Claims (4)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. (1)カーボン繊維と耐熱合成繊維からなる耐炎耐熱繊
    維織布の少なくとも片面に、シリコーン系樹脂をコーテ
    ィングし、これに微細な通気孔を設けたことを特徴とす
    る耐炎加工布。
  2. (2)セミカーボン繊維とパラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊
    維からなる重量120〜160g/m^2の耐炎耐熱繊
    維織布の片面に、シリコーン系樹脂を80〜120g/
    m^2コーティングし、次に直径0.01〜0.03m
    mの微細な孔をあけ、2〜7cc/cm^2/secの
    通気量をもたせたことを特徴とする耐炎加工布。
  3. (3)上記耐炎耐熱繊維織布が、セミカーボン繊維とパ
    ラ配向芳香族ポリアミド繊維を65:35ないし50:
    50の割合で紡績したものである特許請求の範囲(2)
    に記載の耐炎加工布。
  4. (4)上記シリコーン系樹脂が無機フィラーを含むこと
    を特徴とする特許請求の範囲(1)又は(2)に記載の
    耐炎加工布。
