Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a liquid jet recording head which is capable of creating a stable ink discharge state free from the fouling of an electric contact point by ink dripping down from an orifice by providing an electric contact point for input to an energy generating element on a different surface from the orifice. CONSTITUTION:An orifice 4 is provided on the printing paper side of a recording head 2 and an electric contact point 6 is attached on a different surface from the orifice 4. Thus a liquid jet recording head intended for is obtained.

望ましい。この為、従来記録ヘッドに駆動電力及び信号
を供給するに、記録ヘッドとキャリジに夫々電気的接点
を設け、記録ヘッドがキャリジに搭載された時に両者の
電気的接点が接触し記録ヘッドに駆動電力及び信号の供
給が行なわれることが提案されている。この時記録ヘッ
ドはキャリジの上に搭載される型式のものが多く、この
為記録ヘッド側の電気的接点は該記録ヘッドの下部に設
けられるのが普通である。更にインクを噴射するオリフ
ィスの存するオリフィス面と前記電気的接点を有する電
気配線基板とが同一平面上に形成された記録ヘッドにお
いては、上述した理由によジオリフイス面より下側に電
気的接点が設けられるためにオリフィスよシこぼれ落ち
るインクによシミ気的接点が汚され、また電気的接点が
腐蝕したり接触不良を起こし、液体(インク)が吐出し
なかったシ、吐出状態が不安定になるという不都合を来
たした。

リフィスが設けられた面とは異なる面に前記エネルギー
発生体へ入力される電気的接点が設けられていることを

。しかして該記録ヘッド2にキャリジ側から駆動電力信
号が印加されオリフィス4から吐出液滴(インク)8を
噴射し記録ヘッド2による記録が行なわれる。この時本

が異なる面に配されている為、電気的接点6がオリフィ
ス4からこぼれるインクによって汚れることを防止でき
