Abstract

PURPOSE:To inhibit the contamination or corrosion of an electrical contact by ink flow out from an orifice, by mounting a recording head, wherein the orifice and the electrical contact are arranged to different surfaces, on a carriage. CONSTITUTION:The electrical contact 20 in the side of a recording head is formed on a surface different from that provided with an orifice 22 and a protruded part 28 is provided to the carriage 14 in a paper side while the carriage side electrical contact 30 contacted with the contact 20 is provided to the protruded part 28. A recording head 18 is mounted on the upper surface of the carriage 14 so as to bring the contact 20 of the recording head into contact with the contact 30 of the carriage 14.

少記録ヘッドがキャリジに対し容易に着脱できることが
望ましい。この為、従来記録ヘッドに駆動電力及び信号
を供給するに、記録ヘッドとキャリジに夫々電気的接点
を設け、記録ヘッドがキャリジに搭載された時に両者の
電気的接点が接触し記録ヘッドに駆動電力及び信号の供
給が行なわれることが提案されている。この時、記録ヘ
ッドはキャリジの上に搭載される型式のものが多く、こ
の為、記録ヘッド側の電気的接点は該記録ヘッドの下部
に設けられるのが普通である。

液体噴射記録装置において、前記液体噴射記録ヘッドに
は前記オリフィスが設けられた面とは異なる面に前記エ
ネルギー発生体へ入力される電気的接点が設けられてい
るとともに被搭載部には該液体噴射記録ヘッド搭載時に
前記電気的接点に接続される電気的接点が設けられてい
ることを特徴とする。

る電気的接点が設けられているとともに被搭載部には該
液体噴射記録ヘッド搭載時に前記電気的接点に接続され
る電気的接点が設けられていることを特徴とする、液体
噴射記録装置。
