There are very few persimmon trees that are thick enough to make a head, and it is becoming difficult to obtain them in large quantities. Therefore, a synthetic head made of thin plates glued together is used, but since the plates are glued together, the impact sound is inferior, so it is not preferred.

In addition, all natural wood is difficult to control humidity during the manufacturing process, and requires a great deal of labor to dry and cut. Therefore, various artificial heads have been developed.

There are some products made from natural wood, but they are all good alternatives to natural wood products.
It didn't come. In terms of performance, the impact sound was significantly worse than that of wood, and the rooting coefficient was also inferior. The reason why the impact sound is bad is because their specific elasticity is low and some of them are not integrally molded. Therefore, the inventors came up with the present invention with the aim of solving these problems. That is, carbon graphite short fibers with a high specific modulus of elasticity were dispersed in a thermosetting foamed synthetic resin to strengthen it and integrally molded to create a synthetic wood head with a high specific modulus of elasticity. The manufacturing method for realizing this synthetic wood head structure was to select a foamable synthetic resin that is liquid at the beginning and has the property of hardening within a relatively short period of time. This was achieved by impregnating a short fiber mass with the liquid synthetic resin, placing it in a mold having a golf club head-shaped recess, closing the split mold, and then foaming and hardening. The structure of the synthetic wood head produced by this method has air bubbles between each short fiber, and the specific gravity can be made similar to that of wood by changing the expansion ratio. Furthermore, the elastic modulus and strength of the synthetic wood head can be increased by increasing its fiber content, so the synthetic wood head can be made to match the desired performance.

In addition, 130 parts of polyisocyanate, which is an MDI-based isocyanate, was used as liquid B, and the time from mixing these liquids A and B until they became creamy was 3 minutes, and the time from when they became creamy to the end of foaming was 3 minutes. The time was 3 minutes. Put 60g of carbon graphite short fibers with a length of 10mm in a polyethylene beaker, and add 1 part of the mixture of the above liquids A and B.
After quickly adding 50 g of the mixture and stirring it, it was placed in a split mold and foamed and hardened to a specific gravity of 0.7.
