Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve early reduction of the luminous flux caused by the discoloration of the inner tubes of a fluorescent tube, which is constituted by vertically installing a plural number of curved inner tubes so that they work as electric discharge paths, by forming the inner tubes by the use of glass containing no lead components and no sodium components. CONSTITUTION:A lamp part (A) is constituted of an outer tube 1, U-shaped inner tubes 2, a spacer 3 and a stem 4. A phosphor 5 is applied to the inner surfaces of the inner tubes 2, then sintered. The spacer 3 is provided with inner-tube insertion holes 7a-7f having parts 6 formed by spot facing. A connection hole 8 is provided between the insertion holes 7a and 7b, and a connection groove 9 is provided on the lower surface of the spacer 3, between the insertion holes 7d and 7c. Lead wires 11 are airtightly fitted into the stem 4, and electrodes 13 are attached to the ends of the lead wires 11. After assembling the inner tubes 2, the spacer 3 and the stem 4, they are sealed in the outer tube 1 before it is exhausted, and the outer tube 1 is charged with an electric dischrge gas. In such a lamp part (A), the inner tubes 2 are formed by the use of glass containing no lead components and no sodium components. As a result, any discoloration of the inner tubes 2 is prevented, and early reduction of the luminous flux can be improved.

Next, let's talk about assembly. First, insert the double concave end of each inner tube 2! After fitting into the counterbore 6 of the insertion holes 7 and 7f, it is airtightly fixed to the spacer 8 with an adhesive such as a heat-curable heat-resistant inorganic adhesive or glass frit. This airtight fixation does not necessarily require airtightness as long as the gap created between the outer wall of the inner tube 2 and the counterbore 6 of the spacer 8 is made small. Next, in this way, the inner tube 2 and the -111, L, spacer 8 are attached to the stem 4.
The spacer 8 is arranged so that the polar phase, ta, and the spacer fixing encapsulating line ratio provided in the spacer 8 correspond to the inner tube insertion holes 7c, 7f and the encapsulating line insertion groove 10 provided in the spacer 8, respectively. The spacer 8 and the stem 4 are fixed using a spacer fixing enclosure M.
This is done by bending 12 toward the inside of the upper surface of the spacer 8. Through this step, the electrode 11 and each inner tube 2 are connected in series to form a discharge path. This spacer 8
Fixing to the stem 4 does not necessarily require airtightness as long as the gap is made small. After the open end of the outer tube ↓ and the outer periphery of the stem 4 are hermetically sealed, the ordinary electrode material activation process, exhaust, and charging of discharge gas are carried out through the exhaust pipe 14, thereby completing the rung member.

When PbO+ffi~%, etc.) is used, the inner tube 2 becomes colored black/brown in a relatively short period of time, the transmittance of the glass decreases, and the luminous flux decreases in a short period of time like Tl. There was a drawback. In other words, the time change in luminous flux when t6W input is applied is shown below.

In this way, the luminous flux rapidly decreases. At the same time, when the transmittance of the glass of the inner tube 8 was measured, it was found that the transmittance rapidly decreased in the form of Another object of the present invention is to provide a fluorescent rung in which luminous flux deterioration is improved by eliminating the coloring phenomenon that occurs on the inner and outer walls of the inner tube.

First, consider the mechanism by which inner v2 is colored black/brown as described above. Observation of the colored inner tube 2 revealed that the inner wall was colored black and the outer wall was colored brown. Furthermore, large amounts of mercury were detected on the inner wall of the inner tube 2, and large amounts of lead and sodium were detected on the outer wall. From this, the black coloring of the inner wall of the inner tube is caused by mercury ions in the discharge space.
This is due to the precipitation of mercury that had been diffused inside the inner tube as a result of substitution with IJ ions (inside the glass). CO released from the adhesive inside the tube and the spacer 8, and pbo of the glass component of the inner tube 2.

As described above, the present invention comprises configuring a plurality of bent inner tubes in series via a spacer in an airtight space formed by an outer tube and a stem, and connecting at least one of the mutually communicating portions of the inner tubes with each other as described above. In a fluorescent rung which is open to an airtight space and has electrodes at both ends of the inner tubes configured in series, and which uses the inner tubes as a discharge path, the inner tubes are impregnated with a lead component. Since the tube is characterized by being constructed of non-woven glass, it was possible to improve the early drop in luminous flux caused by the coloring of the inner tube.
