Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a road surface and generation of dust, by providing a shape memory alloy between a head portion of a spike pin and a head portion of a guide pin, and biasing the spike pin with a spring. CONSTITUTION:A single-directional shape memory alloy 8 is in plastic condition at a low temperature, and a spike pin 3 is upwardly urged by a spring 7 to be projected from a surface of a tire 1, thus exhibiting a spike function. On the other hand, at a high temperature, the shape memory alloy 8 is rendered in a contracted condition, and accordingly the spike pin 3 is downwardly urged against a spring 7 which is thereby depressed, thus being retracted from the tire surface 1 and acting as a normal tire. With this constitution, damage and wear of a road surface may be prevented, and accordingly generation of dust may be suppressed.

Focusing on the fact that the heat generated by a spiked tire while driving changes depending on the snow and snow conditions on the road, the system features an automatic adjustment mechanism for the protrusion of the spike pins according to the road's ice and snow conditions. be. That is, in the spiked tire of the present invention, a spike pin that can freely appear and retract on the ground contact surface and a guide pin that supports and guides the spike pin are arranged inside the tire body, and a distance between the heads of these spike pins and the guide pin is set. A wavy helical or coiled actuating member made of a shape memory alloy that expands and contracts into a memorized shape with temperature is exposed and connected to the surface of the spike pin head, and a center portion is cut out between the flange portions of these spike pins and the guide pin. It is characterized by a mechanism that can be deformed into an operating position in which the spike pin is held in a protruding state and a non-operating position in which the spike pin is held in a retracted state by inserting a plate spring, a disc spring, or a coil spring.

To explain the present invention based on the drawings, FIG. 1 shows that at low temperature, the unidirectional shape memory alloy 8 is in a plastic state, the bidirectional shape memory alloy 8 is in an elongated state,
The spike pin 3 is pushed up by the force of the spring 7, and thus is shown in a state where it protrudes from the surface of the tire 1.

FIG. 2 shows that at high temperatures, the unidirectional or bidirectional shape memory alloy 8 is in a contracted state, so the springs 8 are crushed, and the spike pins 3 are therefore submerged below the surface of the tire 1.
