Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a granulated raw material having high resistance to crushing by mixing forcibly a specific amt. of quicklime and dry dust with filter cake of an ironwork thickener contg. 25-35% water and forming the mixture into pseudoparticles then granulating said particles. CONSTITUTION:Filter cake of an ironwork thickener contg. 25-35% water is disintegrated to about <=10mm. with a disintegrator and after quicklime is added to the filter cake at 1-10% thereof, dry dust of approximately the same amt. thereof is mixed with the filter cake and the mixture is formed into pseudoparticles. The particles are screened with a screen having about <=10 mesh and the coarse grains failing to pass the mesh is again disintegrated with the disintegrator and are fed to a mixer. On the other hand, the fine grains past the mesh is fed to a granulator, by which the particles are granulated. The filter cake having a high moisture content is densely bound by the above-described method, and about 5mm.phi pellets which have self-hardenability, strong and suitable as a sintering raw material are obtd.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention involves precipitating dust generated in large quantities in each factory of a steelworks, such as a sintering furnace, blast furnace, electric furnace, and converter, in a thickener, and removing the moisture from the precipitate using a filter press or the like. ~
The present invention relates to a processing method that aims to omit the drying step of the so-called filter cake containing 65q6 and to utilize the entire amount effectively.

A large amount of exhaust gas and dust are generated during each process in a steelworks, especially during the operation of sintering, blast furnaces, electric furnaces, converters, etc., but in order to prevent air pollution, these exhaust gases are washed with water and separated here. The gas is also used for other effective purposes. On the other hand, the dust that has been washed and separated is allowed to settle in a thickener (sedimentation basin), and the water is removed from this settled dust using a filter press, etc. This is called a filter cake.

Since this filter cake essentially contains a large amount of steel raw material, there is no problem in reusing it as a sintering raw material. Currently, it is thoroughly dried to remove moisture, crushed, and sieved before being used as a sintering raw material.

However, since the filter cake is an aggregate of what was originally fine particle dust, if it is dried, crushed, and sieved as in the conventional processing method described above, when it is used as a sintering raw material, the sintering process will be too high. There was a problem that air permeability was poor in the eyebrows, resulting in a significant decrease in sintering productivity. In order to solve this problem, in actual operations, a small amount of sintering materials were mixed with normal sintering raw materials, which caused the following problems.

The present invention was made in order to improve the problems encountered in the above-mentioned conventional filter cake processing method,
The basic idea is to forcibly mix quicklime or quicklime and dry dust directly into the filter cake, and then to coagulate the mixture and then granulate it to effectively utilize the entire amount of the filter cake. Moreover, it is a granulated raw material with a dense apparent specific gravity and high crushing strength, and can be processed online with filter cake generation equipment if necessary.

That is, in the present invention, when crushing a steel mill thickener filter cake with a moisture content of 25 to 65% into approximately 10 or less pieces, 1 to 10% of quicklime powder is added to the filter cake, and then the filter cake and approximately Processing of filter cake characterized by mixing the same amount of dry dust to agglomerate it, sieving it, re-crushing the coarse particles, and sending the part under the sieve to a granulator for granulation treatment. It's a method.

Figure 1 is a process diagram of the filter cake processing method of the present invention. 1) The filter cake to be treated in the present invention is not limited to those that can be used as raw materials for steelmaking obtained from steelwork thickeners. Needless to say again.

Next, in the present invention, the reason why the water content of the filter cake to be treated is limited to a range of 25 to 30 cm is that the process of crushing the filter cake to approximately 10 r1 m or less in order to make it easier to mix with the quicklime powder and dry dust that will be added later. This is because it is preferable for the purpose of making it easier to carry out the process, as well as for the reaction and binder effect of quicklime powder, which will be explained later. If this upper limit is exceeded, the desired effect of the present invention cannot be obtained. It is.

In addition, in the present invention, the filter cake having the above-mentioned moisture range is crushed by a crusher to approximately 10 mm or less, and at that time, 1 part of quicklime powder is added to the filter cake.
The reason for adding ~10% and forcibly mixing it into the filter cake is to accelerate the digestive reaction of quicklime. In this case, the addition ratio of quicklime powder is 1 to 10%.
This is because if it is less than 1 inch, the desired effect of the present invention will not be achieved, and if it exceeds 10 inch, it is not preferable as a sintering raw material.

Furthermore, in the present invention, the reason why approximately the same amount of fine dry dust is mixed with the filter cake to be treated after (or at the same time) the addition of quicklime powder is that the filter cake and dust are evenly mixed in this process. water content is 1
This is due to the fact that it is agglomerated to about 2 to 19%.

In the next step, the agglomerated mixture is passed through a 10-mesh sieve, and the coarse particles that do not pass through the sieve are passed through a crusher again and then sent to a mixer.
