Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily and surely achieve a desired engagement in a synchronous spline coupling in which a claw for detacting the synchronization of plural coupling members is provided in the recess of a synchronizing member, by providing a magnetic member in the recess away from the fulcrum of the claw. CONSTITUTION:A first coupling member 2, which is driven by a driving shaft 1, is always engaged with an intermediate member 4 by helical splines 3. A synchronizing member 5 having a recess 7, in which a claw 8 is housed, is always engaged with the intermediate member 4 by auxiliary splines 6. When the synchronizing member 5 is rotated, the claw 8 is engaged with the engaging surface 11 of a ratchet 10 directly connected to a second coupling member 9. A magnetic member 17 is provided in the recess 7 of the synchronizing member 5 slightly away from the fulcrum 13 of the claw to attract the center of gravity of the claw by the magnetic force of the magnetic member to push up the tip of the claw 8 to easily and surely engage it with the engaging surface 11 of the ratchet 10.

ン6によシ常時噛合っている。この同期部材5が回転す
ると、刻み7に内蔵された爪8は第2継手部材9に直結
されたラチェット10の保合面11に係合し、第2継手
部材9と中間部材4との間に同期部材5を介して結合力
を生じさせるため、第1継手部材2と中間部材4の間の
ヘリカルスプライン3および中間部材4と同期部材50
間の補助ヘリカルスプライン6には中間部材4を図示矢
印A方向に移動させるスラスト力が発生する。このため
中間部材4は前記方向に移動して第2図に示すように第
2継手部材9との間に保合が完了する。この同期歯車継
手の係合方法には、第1継手部材2および第2継手部材
9がともに停止している状態からの保合と、第2継手部
材9のみが回転しているところへ第1継手部材2を駆動
して係合させる方法の2通りがある。両者ともに爪8が
保合面11に係合するためKは爪8が第3図に示すよう
に爪8の頭をのり出すようにしなければならない。この
ため、後者においては、爪8の重心点を支点13からず
らすことにより、爪8の重心位置14に作用する遠心力
によって爪8が頭をのぞかせる。しかし、前者において
は、爪8に遠心力が作用しないため、第3図に示すよう
にバネ15を内蔵したピン16によシ爪8の頭を押し上
げるようにしていた。
