PURPOSE:To recognize work contents that each work unit means visually, accurately and speedily by displaying a symbol pattern by symbolizing the work shape of work performed on the basis of the work units. CONSTITUTION:To the main control part 2 of a machining center 1 which is a numerical control machine tool, an operation display part 3, work mode memory 5, work unit memory 6, and work pattern memory 7 are connected. In the memory 6, names UNTN of work units corresponding to work modes MODE are stored. ニットを参照しで対応する加工ユニットを加工情報とし
て入力することにより、]二佳作機が自ら加ニブログラ
ムを作成し実際の加工を実行してゆく方法が開発されつ
つあり、それに関する種々の提案がなされている。こう
した方法を用いると、オペレータは前述のように、最終
加工形状に対応した加工ユニットを加工情報として工作
機械側に入力することになるが、迅速かつ正確な加工を
行なうためには、オペレータに対して正確に誤まりなく
短時間で加工情報を入力させる必要があり、そうした目
的に対応した加工情報の表示制御方法の開発が望まれて
いた。

5YPTは、第1図に示すように、ディスプレイ画面1
0a上で加工情報人カキ−11aと対応した位置に、枠
13aによって区切られた形で表示されるので、オペレ
ータは入力すべき加工ユニットの名称UNTN及びパタ
ーン5YPTの表示に対応した位置のキー11aを押下
することにより、当該ユニ7トの入力を完了することが
できる。なお、オペレータが魚加工モードのポーリング
加エユニッ!・2図(b)に示す形で格納されたより詳
細な加工ユニットの名称UNTN及び対応するパターン
番号PNOを読み出してディスプレイ10上に表示する
と共に、加エバターンメモリ7に第6図に示す形で格納
されたパターン番号PNOに対応するシンボルパターン
5YPTを読み出し、前述と同様にディスプレイ10上
に表示し、オペレータにキー11aを介して所定の加工
