Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any hole from remaining in the outer surface of a seat ring after it is molded, by arranging a suitable number of supports having suitable elasticity to a core metal section between pins for forming a valve shaft insert hole, injecting an elastomer to be molded, and allowing said supports to serve as part of a seat ring member. CONSTITUTION:The plurality of the supports having suitable elasticity are mounted around the core metal 12 supported in a toroidal space in the mold by the pins 5, 6 thereby supporting and positioning the core metal. Therefore, when the molds are closed, the supports are pressed backwards by the molds and are inclined to spread radially, so that the core metal 12 is pressed radially inwards significantly to be secured there firmly. After the injection and molding of the elastomer, the supports 9 are not required to be withdrawn and they may be used as part of the seat ring member.

A seat ring made of an elastic material such as rubber is stretched around the inner circumferential surface of the valve body, and when the valve is closed, the seat ring is compressed between the valve body and the outer peripheral edge of the valve. In order to adjust the repulsion of this seat ring and to substantially reinforce the note ring, a rigid material such as a 9-cylinder cylinder is installed inside the well-known butterfly valve. Conventionally, those containing the following have been widely used.
The figure shows an example of such a seat ring, which is indicated by a chain line.A ring-shaped core bar 12 made of a rigid material is enclosed inside the main body 2, and an elastic material 1 such as rubber is enclosed on the outside.

After arranging the core bar in this way, the annular cavity is injected with a nystomer. In order to accurately position and hold the core bar 12, it is removed from the outer mold 6 as shown in Fig. 2. It is normal to carry out forming work by arranging a pin 7.8 that reaches the core metal. However, if such a forming method is used, the seat ring Q after forming naturally corresponds to pin 7.8. There will be holes left in these places, and if you leave them as they are, the core metal will let out outside air, which will extend the lifespan of the seat ring.It is good to fill these holes after molding, but only if you do so. This is not desirable as it increases the cost.

In order to prevent this f'L, it is possible to increase the number of core metal supporting members corresponding to pins 7 and 8, but this is undesirable since a large number of holes will be formed on the outer surface of the ring after one round. is as described above.

The elastomer is injection-molded by disposing an appropriate number of support members with appropriate elasticity, and after molding, the support members are used as part of the support member 7-tring material 11. In this way, the first objective is to provide a molding method that completely eliminates the deficiencies of the known molding method J as described above.

These support members 9 are such that the upper and lower molds of the outer type A are open.
It shall be worn as shown in the figure when
The height of the paper (vertical height) is slightly larger than that of the annular space, and the upper and lower molds are closed.
Each support member shall be compressed against the mold. For this reason, when the mold is closed, the support member is placed in the mold V? : Therefore, the core metal 12 is pressed from the direction perpendicular to the plane of the paper and tends to expand in the direction parallel to the plane of the paper, so that the core bar 12 is strongly pressed from the outside to the inside in the radial direction and firmly maintains its position. Of course it's a retainer.

Furthermore (1) In the present invention, the support of each support member, the core bar -
Since the pressing action of \ is achieved by using the pressing force applied perpendicular to the plane where the core metal exists (the plane facing the paper surface), the pressure of the core metal based on the support member's This is an extremely effective invention, as it is possible to accurately determine the position V(1'!) without causing the position f'L.

FIG. 4 AH shows another embodiment of the present invention,
In this case, a part of the elastic support member 9 is engaged with a recess 41 formed at a predetermined position in the forging die 3. With this configuration, the supporting member will not move unnecessarily within the mold, and after molding, this part will be the outer periphery of the seat ring;
serves as a guide when attaching the seat ring to the valve body.
