Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a rust-inhibiting pigment suitable for use in the production of a water-soluble rust-inhibiting paint, containing zinc sulfide and a phosphate salt difficultly soluble in water. CONSTITUTION:A condensed phosphate salt difficultly soluble in water (solubility being not more than 10g of P2O5 per liter of water) and zinc sulfide are blended together in a ratio of 1/100-100/1 to obtain a rust-inhibiting pigment. When an activated zinc salt such as zinc oxide or a carboxylate zinc salt is used together with said pigment, rust proofness can be further improved.

あらかじめ難溶性の縮合リン酸塩含有物質と硫化亜鉛含
有物質を水スラリーとして混合反応させ、乾燥、粉砕し
たものが使用出来る。難溶性の縮合リン酸塩含有物質と
硫化亜鉛含有物質を併用すると、なぜ、水溶性塗料中で
安定ですぐれた防錆性を示すかについて、その機構の仔
細は明らかではないが、硫化亜鉛はP)I 変化に対し
てその溶解度が変化しにくくこのような#A溶性の硫化
亜鉛によって、縮合リン酸塩が水溶性塗料中で安定化さ
れていることによると推定される。なお、本発明の防錆
顔料は水溶性塗料に対してだけでなく、溶剤性塗料、油
性塗料に対しても有効な防錆性を示すものである。防錆
性をさらに向上させるため、水に難溶性の縮合りノ酸塩
含有物質と硫化亜鉛含有物質よシなる防錆顔料に活性亜
鉛塩が併用添加される。活性亜鉛塩としては、酸化亜鉛
、水酸化亜鉛、ケイ酸亜鉛、ホウ酸亜鉛等の無機亜鉛塩
又は、カルボン酸亜鉛、スルホ/酸亜鉛等の有機亜鉛塩
が使用される。添加量は、添加によって塗膜にブリスタ
ー(ふくれ)が発生しない程度であり、更に水溶性塗料
に添加する場合は、水溶性塗料を不安定化させない程度
におさえることが必要である。
