Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a power apparatus or the like for feed and drain of water and permit the regulation of the stored water quantity according to the stored fish quantity, by enabling a live well to be forcibly supplied with water and drained by utilizing the outboard flow caused by steaming, and making the stored water level in the live well variable.
CONSTITUTION: A feed water passage 2 is provided on the bow side of a live well 1 so that the outboard water is forcibly fed into the live well 1 through said feed water passage 2 in sailing. In addition, on the stern side of the live well 1, a rising duct part 5a and a descending duct part 5b, together with an drainage apparatus having an on-off valve 6 and an air supply passage 7 for introducing the atmospheric air, are provided. Thereby, in sailing, a drainage pressure is generated in the descending duct part 5b, so that the water in the live well 1 can be forcibly drained. Moreover, selectively opening or closing the tapered holes provided in a rising wall 9 by using screw members 12 permits the stored water level in the live well 1 to be changed.
