Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve strength of connection between a rear frame and an end panel by a method wherein a bumper set bracket having a box type projection is intervened between the rear frame and the end panel. CONSTITUTION:A rear frame 2 is formed into a U shape cross section, an upper flanges 21 are formed in bent shape at its upper end of both the right and left sides, and the rear frame 2 is welded to the bottom of a rear floor panel through these flanges. The frame 2 has flanges 22 and a lower flange 23 which are related to a bumper set bracket 3 and these flanges are secured at the side of a projection 31 provided on the bumper set bracket 3 in a protruded box shape. A bumper is mounted on the bracket 3 with bolts passing through holes 33 provided on the bracket 3.
