Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve strength against large load from a suspension system for rear wheels by providing a reinforcing plate having the side edge secured fixedly to both a side sill and a rear side member and bending upward the rear portion of said plate to form a knot. CONSTITUTION:A rear side member 4 is secured fixedly to the lower portion of a floor 1 to form a space having a closed section between said member and the floor 1. A triangular reinforcing plate 5 is arranged to be overlapped on bottom surface 42 of the member 4, and both side edges 5a, 5b of the plate 5 are respectively secured fixedly to a side wall 41 of the member 4 and a side sill inner 21. Further, the reinforcing plate 5 is formed in the rear portion with a longitudinal surface 51 bent upwad. Both side flanges 5c, 5d of the surface 51 are welded to both sides 41, 43 of the rear side member 4 to form a knot divinding said space 3 into the front and reao portions. られ、実用上強度に問題がある。

ーとフロアの間の空間を前後に仕切る節を形成するよう
になし、この補強板とりャサイドメンバーの重合部の下
方に後輪懸架装置取付用のブラケットを固定するように
したことを特徴とするものである。
