Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for preliminary concentration by another device by providing a sludge supply port in the intermediate part in a longitudinal direction and forming a preliminary concentrating part on the opposite side of a discharge port in a screw press type dehydrator for sludge dehydration.
CONSTITUTION: With this dehydrator, a circular conical screw shaft 5 projected with screw vanes 4 on the outside circumference is rotated by a driving shaft 7 and a driving device 8 in an outside cylinder 3 of a cylindrical filter medium provided with a sludge supply port 1 of a sludge hopper 2 and a cake discharge port 6. The sludge charged into the hopper 2 accumulates in the annular clearances formed by the shaft 5 and the vanes 4, and flows out gradually to the port 6 side and the beginning end part 9 side.
