Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the amt. of waste water and decrease the consumption of water at the same time by recovering the clean water out of the waste water in the washing and regenerating processes for ion exchange resins and using this in the regenerating system.
CONSTITUTION: In an ion exchange resin regenerating device, a clean water recovery tank 5 is installed, and a desalting tower 1, a cation exchange resin regenerating tower 2, an anion exchange resin regenerating tower 3, a resin storage tank 4, and a clean water recovery tank 5 are connected by means of pipings 14, 15, 17, 19. The tank 5 and a condensate makeup piping 24 are connected by means of a piping 21, and a pump 22 is provided. The clean water on the resin bed prior to resin transfer in the tower 1, the clean water on the resin beds after regeneration and washing of the resins in the towers 2, 3, and the clean water on the resin bed after washing of the tank 4 are recovered and are reused as the clean water required for the resin regenerating device processes.
