PURPOSE:To increase the surface hardness and weather-proof and antichemical performance, by heat-treating titanium foil at 450-500 deg.C for 5-10min in air with well ventilation before or after forming it into the shape of a vibration diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A titanium foil 1 of sheet shape is heat-treated at 450-500 deg.C for 5-10min in air with well ventilation. Next, the foil is press-molded into a vibration diaphragm shape of dome type to obtain a diaphragm 2 for speaker. Further, the sheet 1 is formed into dome shape diaphragm and the diaphragm 2 can be obtained by heat treatment. Thus, the surface of the foil 1 becomes titanium oxide, allowing to increase the surface hardness.
