Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable manufacture of a small, light and highly precise three-dimensional displacement measurer enabling measurement irrespective of the posture of the measurer itself, by incorporating an eddy current type displacement gage in the measurer and further by making a gravity balancing mechanism built therein. CONSTITUTION:To a measurer retainer held to be incapable of Z-axis movement and rotation and capable of movement only on the X-Y plane is fitted a measurer having a measuring end at the tip thereof and being made capable of moving only in the direction of the aforesaid Z axis and the displacement thereof in the directions X, Y and Z is made measurable by the eddy current displacement gage, respectively. Moreover, the gravity balancing mechanism is attached to the aforesaid measurer. For example, the measurer 5 having a measuring end 6 and an ink case 7 and being movable in the direction of the central axis is retained by the retainer 4 fitted to the main body through the intermediary of a suspension spring 3 and a ring 2 so that it is movable into the sphere of a plane vertical to the aforesaid axis, the gravity balancing mechanism 22 is attached thereto, and thus the displacement in each direction is measured by the eddy current-type displacement gages 13, 10a, 10b, etc.
