Abstract

PURPOSE:To give an FM demodulating function and an FM modulating function in the PLL system, by connecting a quartz oscillating circuit and a fixed frequency dividing circuit to two inputs of a phase comparing circuit of the FM demodulator of the PLL system through changeover switches respectively. CONSTITUTION:A quartz oscillating circuit 7 and a fixed frequency dividing circuit 8 are connected to the input side of a phase comparing circuit 1 and the output side of a voltage control oscillating circuit 3 of an FM demodulator of the PLL system, which consists of the circuit 1, an LPF2, and the circuit 3, through changeover switches 6, 5 and 4. In case of FM modulation, respective changeover switches are closed as shown by dotted lines to apply a modulation signal input to the circuit 3. An oscillation frequency fO of the circuit 3 is divided by the circuit 3 and is compared in phase with an oscillation frequency fX of the circuit 7, and the output is applied to the circuit 3 through the circuit 2 to control the oscillation frequency, and an FM modulation wave is outputted from the circuit 3.
