Abstract

PURPOSE:To facilitate adjustment with simple constitution by providing a frequency division ratio setting circuit which varies the frequency division ratio of a variable frequency divider according to the mark and space of a modulated data signal. CONSTITUTION:An output wave from an oscillator 13 is divided into two; one is processed through the frequency division of a fixed frequency divider 14, whose output is applied to a clock output terminal 15 and a data signal pattern detecting circuit 16. The other is inputted to a variable frequency divider 17. A modulated data signal for a mark and space inputted from a terminal 18 is inputted to the data signal pattern detecting circuit 16, whose output is applied from a switch control circuit 27 to the frequency divider 17. In this case, the output of the circuit 27 permits a switch 28 to switch and set a number for frequency division, thus varying the output frequency of the frequency divider 17. The output of this frequency divider 17 is passed through a BPF34 to eliminate higher harmonic component more than double as high as the modulated wave, so that the remainder appears at a terminal 35.
