Abstract

CONSTITUTION:In the atomic resonance section (OMU) of the rubidium atomic oscillator, a rectangular wave modulation is applied to the C-field and signal processing is applied to the output of the atomic resonance section obtained in this way by using a digital circuit to constitute a loop control the frequency of a voltage controlled crystal oscillator. Then the frequency of the input microwave to the OMU is not fluctuated and the respective optical absorbing characteristics 1, 2 are obtained by using voltages V1, V2 applied to the C-field. Thus, the characteristic equivalent to the application of rectangular modulation to the frequency of the input microwave is obtained by the C-field modulation.
