Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a ship to come directly alongside a platform, by a method wherein pillars, alongside which a ship comes, extend from a double wall of a storage tank, sinking in the sea, to the sea surface, and a fender is installed at the pillars.
CONSTITUTION: A platform 10 consists of a storage tank 15, sinking in the sea, an outer peripheral wall 11a of the storage tank 15, and a deck 13 positioned above the sea surface and supported by stays 12. Two pillars 22, alongside which a ship comes, are caused to emerge from the sea surface through the outer peripheral wall 11a and a top part of a structure. A fender 23 is attached to the pillars 22. A ship 24 is moored at a mooring buoy 25 through a hawser 26a, and is pulled toward the platform 10 by a hawser 26b through the use of bolland 27 fitted on the deck 13.
