Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent a half-submerged multi-hull vessel from colliding with a quay or the like when the vessel is brought alongside the quay by connecting an upper hull and a plurality of lower hulls through struts as well as providing fender beams on the vessel side movably.
CONSTITUTION: As for a half-submerged multi-hull vessel comprising an upper hull 2 and a plurality of lower hulls 3 connected through struts 4 and fender beams 6 arranged on the vessel side; the fender beams 6 are arranged movably in the vertical direction with respect to the hull through winchs 10 and the like, and when the vessel is brought alongside a quay, the fender beams 6 are positioned near the surface of the water 1 projecting more outwards from the vessel side than the upper and lower hulls 2 and 3. This prevents the half-submerged multi-hull vessel having unevenness on the side from colliding with the quay even if the multi-hull moves vertically when it is being brought alongside a general quay.
