Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain voltages as large as 1/n and m/n times the applied DC voltages by a method wherein a pair of multiplexer circuits connected between filtering capacitors and a floating capacitor are subjected to control by signals. CONSTITUTION:Located between a set of output terminals 1', 3, 2', and 4 and a set of input terminals 1 and 2 is a pair of multiplexer circuits 8 and 9 provided with a multiplicity of filtering capacitors 5, 6, and 7 and a floating capacitor 10. Control signals operate the multiplexer circuits 8 and 9 in whih the terminals 8a and 9a of the floating capacitor 10 are consequentially connected to the output terminals 8b and 9b, 8c and 9c, and then to 8d and 9d. Voltages that are as large as the applied DC voltage multiplied by 1/n and m/n are obtained cross the output terminals 1', 3, 2' and 4.
