Abstract

PURPOSE: A polyamide fiber that has specific values of both apparent size of fiber fine crystals and crystal perfectness index (CPI), satisfying a specific equation, thus showing high flexibility and high elongation.
CONSTITUTION: The apparent size of fine crystals of the fiber (ACS) is 55W75Å and CPI is more than 85% and ACS(A) and CPI(%) are in the range of satisfying the equation. Further, the objective fiber preferably has optical birefringence (Δn) of 5.1W5.4×10-2 and crystal orientation of 85W95%, mechanical loss tangent (tanδ) of 0.13W0.18 at maximum and tanδ peak temperature (Tmax) of 95W110°C.
