Abstract

A liquid crystal material comprises at least one substance "A" ensuring its positive dielectric anisotropy and a substance "B" ensuring a lowered value of its optical anisotropy, the weight content of substance "A" being of 4.9 to 30 per cent and of substance "B" - of 70 to 95.1 per cent. The dielectric anisotropy of the said material ranges from + 1 to + 10 whereas its optical anisotropy from 0.04 to 0.1.
